I need moral guidance also here. My priest I go to for this, as a non catholic for now- who is wonderful, I just have not been able to tell him this part yet. I am so afraid he will say I am not moral enough to be a catholic.
It’s better I tell him, and I will. Because he has wonderful spiritual advice and is very orthodox from what I can gather so far.
My moral dillemma, is if I will never even get to be a christian or a catholic. I see this as a huge problem. I think I will never forgive myself now, even though I am trying to see how forgiveness works with Jesus, and the catholic church. I really want to be a catholic, and even though I am new at this whole thing, I have tried and will continue to try to be catholic. But, if I am going to hell anyway, will it be worth it to continue?
I say it is. Because even if I do, I have a chance to raise my daughter as one. God willing.
But, is God going to punish her for my sin at this point? I know he should not? for my husband continuing to be an atheist, but what about my little girl?
Am I over thinking this?
