I pray Father John Corapi would come back!

He made references to having led a very sinful past life with so much wealth and power at his disposal. He must’ve met people who’d rather not see him go knowing that he’s seen so much of what happens in their circles. Fr. Corapi also made references to receiving so many threats to his life that he had to hire a bodyguard, but I’m sure he wasn’t just physically in danger.

Leading the life of a high-rolling profligate for many, many years and then quitting it to side with the angels won’t make certain elements happy, if you get my drift.
The Return of the Unclean Spirit.

"When an unclean spirit goes out of someone, it roams through arid regions searching for rest but, finding none, it says, ‘I shall return to my home from which I came.’

But upon returning, it finds it swept clean and put in order.

Then it goes and brings back seven other spirits more wicked than itself who move in and dwell there, and the last condition of that person is worse than the first.”

This is very, very real. Been through this several times in my personal life.

…but for some reason God seems to reach out to me to be the lifter of my head, turning my darkness into light. Always washing, and cleansing me with his precious blood shed on the cross for my sins.

He always says, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you! A friend closer than any brother. A God to the godless that can turn any sinner back into a Saint!

Isn’t he a sex offender? Why would you want a sex offender in the Priesthood?

It is a little late for that. He has already been given the Sacrament of Holy Orders, and it is irrevocable.

No one wants a priest to serve who is out of order, no matter what the cause.

We can pray that he will submit to his superiors and live a life of penance and faithfulness as every priest should do.

I know about his past. But you still haven’t shown that he “succumbed to occult forces.”

Me too, Victor. I can attest to the absolute truth of that scripture reading.

I’ve watched it in others too.

It should keep all of us always vigilant and on our toes. We can never relax and think we’ve got it made. We’re never safe until we breathe our last breath.

There were no allegations he was a “sex offender”. It was alleged he had sex with an adult woman. He denied this, and to my knowledge it was not proved either way…

This does not appear to be the primary reason he was disciplined. That was related to being a religious order priest but not living in community and having personal control of assets.

In theory he might have become a diocesan priest but apparently his bishop was in agreement with the superior. All this is no doubt incomplete info. Prayers needed.

Not trying to be glib, but we seem to have a lot of them in the priesthood. They’ve cost the Church billions of dollars in payouts.
