Unapologetically. I didn’t pray with him, I didn’t pray through him, I prayed TO him because I may have offended him and I told my confessor this. My confessor’s advice was to pray to him and apologize and to ask him to help me in special ways through life. When I mentioned thinking about getting a medal of this Saint, he said, “Yeah, you could do that, but, it’s really important to talk to him, the one on one. Pray to him…”
So I did. Because I may have offended him by my words and actions concerning him. I needed to ask for forgiveness and ask him to pray for me in the future that I do not offend the Saints of God.
Oh yeah. If the Saints may hear me, the one may have heard what I said, and, though I didn’t MEAN anything by what I said, jokes were made at his expense, and, SHOULD he have taken offense to that, (because I thought about it and I wouldn’t have been offended if this was done to me, but I don’t know this Saint’s sense of humour), for my unthinking maliciousness, I wanted to let him know.
Posting here to let all know Communion of Saints may work all ways; if we offend the people of God, then it is necessary to make reparations, and talking is a good start.
