I read the book of Mormon

And it came to pass that I read it several times and was exceedingly led astray and fooled by the lds church.
And it came to pass that I was led by God out of the lds church.
And it came to pass that it came to pass.
And it came to pass that after being freed by God, I read the book again and felt nothing.
And it came to pass that I realized that many plain and precious things had been changed by the later generations of Mormons that realized that many things could never come pass, even as they came to pass, for example, blacks never became white.

And it came to pass that I eventually became Catholic, being led by God into the truth. And the people rejoiced.

I think Joseph Smith wrote the book of Mormon in such a way that it would confuse the people. I noticed that many chapters or very long, sometimes 3 or 4 pages long, so many people choose to just follow without reading.

Don’t give him too much credit. Joseph Smith came up with the idea and published the Book of Mormon as a way to make money to avoid the impoverished life he was living. When that didn’t work, he found he could use “revelations” as a way to get people to give him their money. It was all self-serving.

Also, the original printing of the Book of Mormon didn’t have the chapter/verse structure as it does today. It was laid out like a typical book.

As a former member of the LDS Church, born and raised, many times have I read the BoM. I delved deeply into my faith as I became a teen. to find out through it’s own scripture, and teachings that the God I believed in was a liar. I could get no explanations for it says here this but there it says 100% different A God who lies is no god to me. So i felt totally lost. Eventually I found my way to the RCC. But it was extremely painful when I lost the god I had known. Even the thought of maybe there is no god at all was there. Hopefully, may we all be as kind as a few Catholics and Fathers were to me.
