I really need your prayers..

Hello everyone… I’m 37 and was just confirmed a year ago into the Church… But I’m having a lot of struggles with lust/porn again and tepid it’s/lukewarmness… I’m single/never been married yet… And pray for me that I can find a good, solid and loving Parrish…

Btw… I live in east county area of San Diego…

And pray for me for healing of my heart, soul, mind, wounds and memories…

A prayer of welcome

Lord, our God, source of all life,
you reveal yourself in the depths of our being
drawing us to share in your life and love.
Bless each of us as we respond to your Spirit’s
invitation to open wide the doors to Christ.
Make the doors of our hearts,
our homes and communities
wide enough to receive
all who need human love and fellowship,
narrow enough to shut out all envy,

Jesus, Lover of chastity, Mary, Mother most pure, and Saint Joseph, chaste guardian of the Virgin, to you I come at this hour, begging you to plead with God for me. I earnestly wish to be pure in thought, word and deed in imitation of your own holy purity.

Obtain for me, then, a deep sense of modesty which will be reflected in my external conduct. Protect my eyes, the windows of my soul, from anything that might dim the luster of a heart that must mirror only Christlike purity.

And when the “Bread of Angels becomes the Bread of me” in my heart at Holy Communion, seal it forever against the suggestions of sinful pleasures.

Heart of Jesus, Fount of all purity, have mercy on us.

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength & fortitude to overcome your temptations.
 
Lord release jason of his demons(lust, porn, loneliness, lukewarmness). Help heal his spirit and mind of any hurtful memories. Give him the strength to overcome temptation and to have self worth. I pray that you find a parish that will strengthen your faith, mind and body. In Jesus name I pray. God Bless you and praise the Holy Name of God.
 
Ah yes SoCal. I miss it so - lived in that part of the world for 7 yrs. I highly recommend spending time out in the Painted Desert. Get up into the hills and canyons and spend sometime with God. Get out of the city and do some good praying. I will pray for you - I fight the same demons.

Any recommendations for a good solid parish in San Diego county?
 
Jaysdec, It is not only YOUR problem, it is OUR problem,
the whole Church of Christ is under this attack!(1 Cor 6:15)
As for loneliness, NO ONE in the body of Christ has joy
or sorrow or a problem with loneliness ALONE, we are all
connected by a common thread, “Whoever eats my flesh
and drinks my blood abides in me and I in them” John 6:56
And as for tepidness in your Christian walk, Pope Paul VI
noted that THAT is the problem with Christianity in this age,
we got to get up, dust ourselves off and get INVOLVED in
Kingdom building, my friend!
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Jay, I’ve been where you are at. I am glad to pray for you, but I have to say, if you pray for the Holy Spirit to come into your heart, you will be surprised at the strength He will give you. And of course as soon as you can. remember our Mother Church gives us Reconciliation to cleanse your soul for the Spirit. Peace unto you, brother!

Praying that the Lord may grant you strength and healing. Also praying that he may grant you perseverance and all other necessary graces.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!
