I would get to confession. Then start a plan to work on my anger issues. No judgement here, I have physically attacked people in my past too. But it is something you cannot do. Talk to your pastor about this situation.

Undo the Facebook (to the extent possible) first. That sack of feathers will scatter the farthest the fastest, so gather back what you can as quickly as you can.

Apologize directly to those you have wronged. As for hitting your mother–huh? Yes, you need to get some professional advice about that. That is a zero tolerance matter. If you are old enough to be on Facebook, you are old enough that you should not allow yourself to hit anybody. Don’t give yourself the excuse that you were “having a tantrum.” Address the problem that you lack self-control as a very serious and urgent matter that must be dealt with as swiftly as possible.

Go to confession, too, but take care of the urgent matters of making amends ASAP. It does no good to be in the confessional professing sorrow while your words are still freely roaming the world via the internet.

Do you have any special needs or conditions, op? Regardless, it seems anger is something you need to work on. Perhaps a priest could advice you.

I would advise you to make sincere, face to face (of possible) apologies to all the people you have hurt. Make it clear that you feel deeply ashamed of how you behaved and provide them with some assurance that you are going to address the issue of your temper. Also, ask them to allow you to make amends. Could you do some jobs around the hosue for your mother? Could you cook her a nice meal, or take her out for a coffee and cake? What could you do for your friends?

It takes a lot of courage to offer a real, sincere apology and sometimes, they are not accepted graciously and that is something you just have to swallow - but most people appreciate a genuine effort to make amends.

Good luck and keep smiling! You’ve recognised that you’re in the wrong and you want to change, so you’re travelling in the right direction 👍
