LOL… I actually have a Ducati. Not an obnoxious sound.
They are all obnoxious. How obnoxious depends on what kind of statement the user is trying to make. Any brand can sound 100x louder than a big rig when the muffler is more or less removed.

Yes, some are horrible. I don’t like the loud pipes. I like the quiet roar/sewing machine sound. Thank you and everyone else for this forum. I feel a lot better. God bless all of you.

I’m glad some users are more practical. It’s not ideal, but it’s better than the alternative. Motorcycle season starts in my area soon. It’s very hard on my family. Nice weekends its impossible to enjoy time outside …even a quiet family bbq turns into a shouting match…and that’s with a house and at least a half acre between us and the road.

I’m so sorry that happens. We live in New England, and while you occasionally hear those crazy loud bikes, most are the normal variety.

Listen to you priest then; why ask here where you will be given multiple different answers? Enjoy your Bike. That the name of the motorcycle it is slang for the devil is of no import if you believe in the teachings of the Catholic Church.

You should evict your neighbors. Or something. Oh, I get it. I’m a little slow.

I am a bit curious as to why city councils or state legislators don’t do something about it. It really seems like a public nuisance to me in a big way.

Start throwing out $500 tickets and those bikers will l soon change their ways. One thing I just read is that most law enforcement is not equipped with decibel meters.

I’m in New England, too. I think I’m just on one of those rural scenic bike routes…

…who I truly feel bad for is the people who live a few hours away from me in Laconia. I like to camp and in my YA group we were trying to camp in all the New England states and we accidentally went up there a couple weeks after “Bike Week”. It was miserable and apparently, we only saw about 1/20 of the crowd that comes through. I think I’d move if that was my city.

It left an impression on me I’m not soon to forget–even though it’s been a decade. Don’t know if it’s any better there now.

Skulls have been popular in art and stuff for probably time immemorial.

Well, I might be mistaken, but there seems to have been an uptick in the last 20 years. Perhaps it’s nothing more than a fashion trend. Don’t know.

Not sure how old you are. I think you are in your 20’s. Therefore, your perspective would be a little narrower than mine.

I guess I think it’s the opposite. Skulls and those kinds of things were very popular in the 60/70’s. I think the only difference is that there has been some multi-cultural pressure in the media that means Dios Los Muertos skulls get more airtime. I guess I consider those quite a bit different than the skulls used in rock music and on tatoos–which I think has really diminished in favor of more banal things like emojis, vairous works of modern art and things from other cultures, like anime.
