Little Mary;

Actually it was intended to be a Christmas Movie. Although it was based on the book, “The Greatest Gift,” which wasn’t about Christmas, “Its A Wonderful Life,” has the Christmas theme within it. It was released December 20th, 1946. George Baily, is saved from committing suicide on Christmas Eve, and as he is greeted by all the friends donating money to bail him out, his daughter plays, “Hark The Herald,” as the group joins in and sings.

If that isn’t a Christmas Movie, I don’t know what else is.

Jim
My sources say it was released in May. 🤷 But that could be wrong. I’ll do a little searching, unless you have a link to the Dec. 20th date.

Just curious!🙂

Could you please explain what that statement means. To call someone a philistine.
And your mother will not pray for you if you don’t call people names?
I’d say you’re in a sad state of mind yourself,IMHO.
I really things cats and dogs was just kidding. She had a couple of 🙂 's in her post.

🙂 🙂

We watched this with our kids the other night. The girls loved it. They clapped at the end. I didn’t know if they would enjoy it or not, they are 9 and 7, but they said they want to watch it again:thumbsup:

According to IMDB, the film was released on both December 20, 1946 and January 7, 1947 in the USA. Maybe it was released in different parts of the country on seperate dates.

I see, it says the Dec. 20 release was in New York City only.
