I saw something I shouldn't of. (Less than a second.)

I am very scrupulous. Please forgive me.

My friend sent me this link that lead this human, not fully clothed. None of the “really bad” parts were exposed, when I saw it, I Immediately scrolled down and didn’t think about it.

Now If I had only done that, I wouldn’t of worried. But the part that troubles me is that I scrolled up for like half a second, and then closed out.

^That is what worry’s me. Do I think it’s a GRAVE matter, Probably not, but I would enjoy your opinions. It’s not like I stared or continually thought about it.

I remember my priest telling me it’s hard to commit a mortal sin. The Total time my eyes laid on it would be Less than a Second. Then I closed out.

What are your opinions?

I repeat: You must get yourself under the care of a priest. We cannot help you overcome your scrupulosity.
 
To be honest, I have really been less scrupulous in the last few weeks. But usually, when it comes to stuff like this. I get really worrisome. (Not to the point of despair or anything.)
 
Go to a priest and seek help for getting over your scrupulousity. That’s what you should be worried about.
 
For so many reasons I am so worried for you. To someone else I would simply say ‘lighten up’ but I feel that you are unfortunately so beyond that. Peace.
 
If I’m not able to go to confession tomorrow before Mass, can I still accept Holy Communion?

I will make an Act of Contrition before though.

Useful rules of thumb if you see a dirty image:

No intention to see it + no consent of the will (immediately shut off your browser) = no sin.

No intention + some consent of the will (allow your eyes to linger a moment or two on the image before shutting off your browser) = venial sin.

No intention + full consent of the will (eagerly staring at the image) = mortal sin.

Intention = mortal sin.
