Well, ideally, we would have children because we wanted children, and because we wanted to do the will of God, not because we wanted sex. But practically speaking, you’re right.A lot harder to have children, once you do get married, though.
Though I know for a fact I’d be happier without sexual desires.

This is an interesting problem. It seems to me that men have been conditioned to find women attractive. Such attraction is needed for procreation. The advice given to you seems harsh. How can one find a mate if one needs to turn thoughts away from attraction? It would be impossible.
The attraction urges are natural. And acting on them are completely natural also. By acting I mean the usual get to know you kind of courting. If every man would turn their head away from every attractive women they would see, no one would be married but there would be a lot of head turning or thought avoiding. And that would be terrible. Look upon these urges as natural for you being a man and be grateful for them. You are normal.
Also, attraction does not imply lust. Lust is ‘slightly’ different.

I have sometimes thought that if people did not enjoy sex, the human race may disappear.
There is nothing wrong with sex, though like anything else due to man’s fallen nature, it can become something evil. Should we do away with friendship, relaxation, love of children or wife, for example, because people may sin because of them?

I wasn’t saying that no one should feel sexual desires. I just wish with all my heart that I didn’t. If I didn’t, I might not need anti-depressants.
