I’m moving along, but have few real answers yet … yesterday I saw my cardiologist who is also a critical care doctor … who warned me against getting the surgery for hyperparathyroidism unless I seriously need it … says it’s a dangerous surgery … then I saw for the first time a new general internist … gave him all the test results that I’ve had for the hyperparathyroidism, the kidney issues and the salivary gland problem … he told me to go ahead and go to the doctor in NY and get the endoscopy for the salivary gland issue I have … I’ve had three infections in 9 months … he says there has to be a reason and we need to move forward and try to find out why …

… as far as the kidney issue, he was happy with the kidney specialist I picked … who I am seeing next Wednesday … he told me the kidney situation looks like it is being caused by something … could be the hyperparathyroidism … explained to me that is why I’ve been getting kidney stones … told me it might indeed be necessary to have the hyperparathyroid surgery and advised that I look into a surgeon in New York that has done these surgeries quite often … but he said we need to work with the kidney doctor to make the final determination on whether or not we need to go forward with the surgery … depends on what kind of kidney stones I am making … so far I’ve had 3 … but we haven’t got the stones to have analyzed … so they are going to do some other tests to try to figure out if they are indeed calcium stones, which would mean I definitely need the surgery …

… sorry for the long update, but I appreciate the prayers, and wanted to let you know what you are praying for … I would appreciate your continued prayers as the reason for the kidney issues is still not certain and if indeed it winds up being the hyperparathyroidism, then I have to have a dangerous surgery.
