With them sending out Young ladies that are around my own Age group is Good because we can talk , But in the same time I feel as if its A breaking point to will them in & Just ask them Questions upon The Cult & if they have Family & Just be Nice to them as they are to you even if you do not Agree with what their teaching & I do not Agree with Jehovah Witnesses & I surely do not Agree with what the WatchTower is doing to Families & people .

& If you think of it You can’t Fault some of these people because Some are born into this Cult from the time they’re Born into Adults so its Embed into A person if they are born into this cult its all they know so You are likely to be Dealing with 1st , 2sd , 3thrd , 4th & 5th & maybe even 6th ,7th , & 8th Generations Of Brainwashing of the Towerwatch & Jehovah Witnesses So You can’t Blame those people Because Their Families May have Converted to Jehovah Witness Before they Were born & making them Born Into this Cult like my Grandma & Aunt & My Father & them Left the Cult But As A Kid He use to tell me How He never had A fun Childhood due to the WatchTower & been A JW .

My Granny & 1 Aunt is still Jehovah Witnesses My Aunt’s 5 Children & Grandkids Are as well & we do not See Or hear From them I think I’ve seen my Cousin’s Once in my Life & that was when I was about 6 or 7 years old & that’s been about 1988 or 89 , I’m now 29 years old & have Not seen My Aunt & her Children in Over 20 something Years & Some of them are my Age I think the Twins are About 28 or 29 & her Other Youngest 2 Children should be 18 & 22 or 23 & I couldn’t Tell you what they look like If you ask me Because they’ve Shunned My Father & Other Aunts & Uncles Once they all Left the Cult .

& its been Almost 11 years Since I’ve seen My grandmother she & one of my Aunt’s who’s not JW Came to my Mothers Funeral & My Aunt staid For the Family Gethering we had , But My grandmother left & didn’t even Speak or see if I was Ok & that really Hurts me because that’s Grandma & grandmothers Are suppose to Nurture & love you & she just Left & I haven’t seen Her or PawPaw since 2001 which will be 11 years come June .

I’m doing this Because I want to Break the Mole Or at least Try to Break Bread with these people . I’m not sure If the girl’s are willing to set down & really have A deep Discussion On the Jehovah Witnesses But Its A Start .

Not sure if they would be inviting to invite A Converted Catholic into their Lives as A Friend But I can try to See that I’m Nice to them & Be Inviting To them as Human beings & not as Cult Members I think God would Want me & Us to Treat all human’s of All Religions with Respect Even if We do not Agree we can At least Respect them & Welcome them Into Our Homes Because The God I know Would Forgive them & Would Welcome them into His Home .
 
Its like this & i’m not Perfect & I do not see The world as Perfect because its not Possible But I do try to Respect All Rather they are Jehovah Witnesses , Or Muslim Or whatever Because I see God doing the Same thing .

They contradict themselves all the time. They say Jesus is divine and god but not the God. When someone doesn’t believe in the Trinity it is impossible to explain anything to them. Catholics believe in the Trinity by faith. The JW"S don’t have that faith.

It comes from the YHWH name of god in Hebrew. They don’t know how to pronounce it, so they marked it with the pronuciation of Adonai (Hebrew for Lord) – this leads to the spelling Iahovah, which in German was written Jehovah. It’s a linguistic mess, but that’s the origen of the name. So technically Jehovah is the same as God the Father – I think. I haven’t seen that name used for the trinity, though I guess it could be.
 
I Just Have learned About Baptist which was Mother’s Religion & There’s a lot that is the same as Catholics Just certain things that are Different but almost the same & maybe that’s why Catholics & Catholicism Seems to be Understandable & Makes Since to me is because Baptist’s Beliefs are kind of Similar to Catholics & their Teachings but I’m also learning that Baptist’s is of Evangelical Protestants & Are Identified as part of the Protestant Church had No clue because I have never set down to read about My Baptist Faith .

Not quite, kanzaz. It’s the bolded word that’s problematic.

Now while it’s true that the prayers of a righteous man avails us much, and who’s more righteous than Mary…

she is not a mediator between God and us because she’s sinless and pure.

She’s a mediator, just like we’re all mediators, because of the gift we’ve all been given to be intercessors for one another.

LOL…No I never was Interested Enough to Learn about Baptist’s & their faith & Belief & plus I was A Kid & Teen so my mind wasn’t into Reading the Bible at that time…LOL .

Yes, now that I do find crazy :eek:!! No blood transfusions (even if it was their child dying:eek:), no birthday’s, no celebrations because they believe they are all Pagan. I think they think Catholics are Pagan:confused:. It’s obviously they do not know all the facts, sad really.😦

I had a customer at work trying to convert me. He was a Catholic (Italian) man, lovely man. But I thought it soooooo rude and inappropriate he did this at my work place. I was not impressed.:mad:

Seems to me They think every Religion who Celebrates Holiday’s & Celebrate The Birth Of Jesus Are Pagan’s If you ask me ,But they do seem to attack Us Catholics a lot in their Publications why? My Only Guess would be because Catholics have A Steady Consistant Religion That You can go & read upon & its not all the Bumbo Jumbo Crazy Stuff The Jehovah’s Witnesses have been Spoon feeding its Brainwashed Members for Years & I think their Mad Because The Catholic Church Also Claim to Be One universal Church Created by Jesus Christ himself & I think Jehovah’s Witnesses Want to be The One True Church & its not its Only A Cult made by Men who set at the WatchTower in Brooklyn,NY & Create & make up these Crazy Insane Rules .

Shoot I even think Mormon’s Have had A Consistancy Through out their Religion & are also well known accept for Warren Jeff’s LDS Group Who the LDS Actual Church Even Claim Is A False Unconnected Religion made up by Crazy Warren Jeff’s …LOL & that’s about the Only time you hear of Mormon’s is when they Talk about Nutcase Warren Jeff’s …LOL But other then that You don’t Hear anything about the Real LDS Church But even though Mormon’s are A Cult I think they Have had The same Teachings For years Now I could be wrong But That’s what I know of & the Fact that Real Mormon’s LDS Church don’t even Consider Warren Jeff’s & his Cult even part of the LDS Mormon Church they Say hes Embarrassing Their Religion with his Crazy Cult & group even though Mormon’s do Teah that A man Can have more then 1 Wife however I don’t think The Actual Mormon Church Does The Crazy stuff as Warren Jeffs Like Having Sex with Under Age girls & marrying them The Actual Mormon Church of LDS stated It does not do that stuff at all & its a shame that Warren Jeffs is Using Their Religion to do The Devil’s Work is what They’ve Claimed or Stated .

JW’s like to point out all of the pagan practices of others. When I point out that the neck ties their men wear, and even their wedding rings are of pagan origin, they look puzzled.
On birthdays being pagan, I ask them what is meant at Job 1:4? “His sons used to go and hold a feast in the house of ]each one on his day, and they would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them…”
Because they are told by the WatchTower Leadership that these were not birthdays, they believe that these were not birthdays.
 
UPDATE UPDATE They came again Today

The same girl came but Another girl was with her & the other girl wasn’t Engaging as much as the Same girl who came the first time was , the only time the other girl spoke to me was when they first came in & she said Hello but she wouldn’t even speak or look at me the Entire time & she barely wanted to read anything …LOL I’m like gosh at least Speak & Engage in Conversation with A person while in their home I Found it kind of Rude .

However the same Young Girl Was very Engaging & talked a lot & as Sweet very loving girl & We read A Few Version from the Bible & the Booklet "What Does The Bible Really Teach " & We Meet again On Wednesday at 1:30 PM for another Bible Meeting .

However She shocked me When she told me that Her & Her Husband like Football & love the superbowl …

Now you know I was thinking in my Head " I thought that stuff was against the Organization to watch " at least from the late 80’s & Early 90’s it use to be against their Beliefs to Engage in watching that type of TV .

& I forgot to ask her Questions Maybe Wednesday I’ll ask her questions , But I’m Surprised They don’t stay long They only stay for like 20 or 30 minutes & leave . I’m like There use to be A time when Jehovah’s Witnesses & Mormon’s would come to your home & stay for Hours & you be trying to get rid of them but she don’t Stay long its A Real Quick Bible session & we’re done It could be that they may have A time limit on how long they can do door to door Services.

but Yes they think Parties & Celebrations are Pagen
 
My husband became a JW 4 years ago so I’ve been learning all I can about Apologetics and their religion. The BEST book I have is by Jason Everts called “Answering Jehovah’s Witnesses”. After that, I asked my husband to get for me one of their books called “The Interliniar Translation”. It is AWESOME at showing them how their own scripture doesn’t match the greek and They are the ones who publish this book. It has a word for word greek translation on the left and then THEIR translation on the right. It is so filled with mistakes they purposely translated to prove that Jesus isn’t God in their bibles. I recommend that. I hope this helps. Ignorance of Scripture is Ignorance of Christ. Everyone should be reading the greatest Catholic Book ever writen, goodness knows many other religons are reading it. Since the Bible is a Catholic book, know that there isn’t anything in there that contradicts the Catholic Church at all.

Christine: see if you can get your hands on the Stephen Byington Bible the WTBTS bought the rights to (1960’s or so) & published “as is” in “Living English” - very hard to find but is more like Catholic Bibles

ex. John 1:1 in the beginning… and the Word was God." instead of NWT “a God”. Byington used “Jehovah” all over the place but it otherwise is pretty sound in comparison than the New World Translation.

Jason’s book is the best.
