John don’t feel bad for posting, you did what you should do.Some people enjoy trying to cut other people down and elevating themselves. You did talk to superiors before you took action and this is important.People wonder why there are so many people who don’t knowwhat the Catholic Church teaches:rolleyes: God Bless
And Lisa, it is more amazing to me that some people think we do nothing but sit in our houses and complain.
Most of us know the right way to do things and the wrong way. we volunteer and try our best until we hit a brick wall.
That’s where I was. Now all I can do is pray.
Thanks for seeing this situation as the best that John could do.

I believe there needs to be a whole lot more squealling going on.
I live in the Diocese of Rochester and until I got reliable internet service and found Catholic Answers in 1998, I had no idea what authentic Catholic Teaching was. When I asked at a Diocesean meeting in 1994 or 1995 about some of the things in the new Catechism that contradicted what the Diocese was teaching, I was told that the Catechism did not reflect any of the theological advances of the last 30 years.
We have very big troubles here but I am recently seeing signs of hope.
I am certain that complaints of the average person in the pew are wearing these Bishops down. Thank God for Mother Angelica and Karl Keating. If it weren’t for them, many of us would still be clueless.

Thanks for going out on a limb, I am sure that more parishoners than you know appreciate it. Pray and don’t worry.

This is my first post. I gotta say I like this forum.

John, I think you did a good thing. Keep up the good work.
