He is very smart but when he talks about christian controversies he loses logic

I heard his objections to Catholicism as well (Mary idolatry, etc.) and it’s pretty shallow. An atheist will demolish him every time if they point out the Protestant roots in Catholicism, and work from there.

I think he is stuck with the Justification bit. reasonablefaith.org/what-about-catholicism

I think for such a thinker only the Holy Spirit can sway him away from that fork of reasoning that he has taken. Perhaps he missed other angles. Since he live by logic, logic seems the answer for him. Peter Kreeft was swayed by logic.

I wish that Craig, Kreeft and Hahn can do a get together to win him over. He would make an awesome mouthpiece for us.

Seriously, reading Craig’s material has kept me from becoming an atheist as I doubt. If we was Catholic, then… Woo!

Coincidentally, that is also the place I go to to get my “how to respond to atheist” fix.:D. And to get a lesson on logical thinking and philosophy and theology. He presents material in a logical manner although more often and not, I am overwhelmed by the terminology that philosophy uses. I just don’t retain those complex sounding words very well.😊

Yeah I’m waiting for a protestant who say to me: you worship a bread, that would be better

he would be a good catholic apologist

It would take an act of God’s grace. I know he likes the imagery and beauty in the Church, but he is not aggreable with some of the doctrine. Just because someone is an intelligent philosopher does not make them right on everything. There are a number of atheist philosophers for example. Perhaps the Lord will open that door for him some day. But, perhaps, he is useful to the Lord in the ministry he is in now.
