I think I SO picked the right sponsor

Today was having coffee with a group from church. A topic came up about a certain doctrine that we as Catholics have been given a choice regarding. One lady didnt agree that we have a choice, and I told her a nun quoted me, with a link, that we had a choice. She is for one way only, and proceeded to attack me, then suddenly backed off, still angry because I didnt agree. So I asked my sponsor, as she was sitting there also, and she quietly told me which way she believes, withOUT becoming angry. So today, I was thankful for having chosen her as sponsor.
 
We have a choice. It is called free will. there may be or seem to be times when free will or choice does nor exist. Perhaps at the point of a gun, the edge of a sword, torture or mental incapacities. Still, we have some choice/free will in how we respond to such conditions. Some will be go to the cross in this life because they choose not to comprimise with sin or the sinners or with evil. Most of us don’t have to make such choices of note, but we have the grace of having choice and free will in all the small things of daily living. I am glad you chose a good sponsor. Many people who pick “choice” rules or make up there own rules defend them and adhere to them beyond the 10 commandments. You will be more condemned by most people for a rule that isn’t even a sin than for killing 10 people…humans 🤷

Glad your sponsor is not a crazy one 🙂

So the lady he was having coffee with was a crazy one? What percent Catholic would she have been? :confused::confused:
