I think we should consider making this saturday a day of prayer and fasting

It is this saturday that herold camping set as the end of the world and frankly, christians in general will likely look bad at 6:05 PM when Jesus does not return. So, why not redeem the day with prayer and fasting?

Harold Camping will look bad, his followers will look gullible, but that doesn’t have anything to do with me. I think he is full of it now. I don’t need to wait until 6:05PM on Saturday to realize this.

6:05, really. My son is doing his first Communion at 6pm. I guess I need it to happen more like 645p or so. This will give him time to get the host and then we’re cool. It will save me a lot of money because I’m taking my family out to dinner after that. The bumnmer is that my youngest daughter will be doing her first communion next year. So, on second thought, maybe Mr. Camping can adjust his math and make it next year.

It isn’t the end of the world, it’s the Rapture that happens this Saturday. The end of the world is 5 months later. Since so few people are raptured, the rest of us probably won’t even notice, because nobody we know will be missing. Of course, if Harry isn’t raptured, that could prove embarassing.

The person making these claims is obviously not Christian since he has rejected Christ’s clear statements on the topic in the gospels, so what he says or does can have no effect whatever on real Christians.

While I have no great insight into the eternal destiny of friend Harold or those that embrace his teachings as you do…praying for them…and ourselves is always a good idea.
