I agree that people should not hold conversations and gossip before Mass. They should not carry on needless conversation during Mass either. On this I agree. However, before Mass, a smile and a quick hello is ok. Also, we do not always know what people are saying whether they are gossiping, or not. Not every small exchange of words is an offense to God. At times you can,t help to here them ,for they talk so loud,and with the church ,with hardly no one in there tell a half hr before, and I come to be with the Lord 1 hr before Mass ,because I know when they start talking, they don,t know how to stop,they talk about many thing,s,and I told-two lady,s to stop talking so loud,I,am praying,they say well if you would,t be listing then you would her what were saying, I told them how can I help it with no one in the church yet,your voice is heard,so after that they stop talking.I,am standing up for what II believe in,once inside we are in the present of Jesus,we should you,s the time to pray ,not talk about thing,s we can waited tel church Mass is over. :knight2::knight2:

The lay persons who distribute Holy Communion are called Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. It is important that the correct term is used. On this board we are allowed to use the acronym EMHC for short.

Boy, you people are rally coming down on me ,I guess your better then me,I also failed in English,but I don,t worry what you say,I only worry that God loves about me.May God help you to understand me ,for I,am God,s child. Bless are those who,s Heart,s are Humble and Bless are those who are persecuted,for there,s are the Kingdom of Heaven. How is it coming down on you to let you know that there is a proper term for the lay people who distribute Holy Communion?

Yes I can ,I can go up them, or if there two pews away I can tell them nicely to stop carry on the way you,s are,AND there are people that fell like I do ,that want too pray and not hear them talk or carry on… It,s a church not a meeting HALL ,lets give Jesus respect while in his present,s I,am not afraid of others, but I fear God,because we are in the Present,s of his son Jesus so should other,s .lets not offend his house of worship.,and bye want you say it,seems to be OK,for people to do what they want,there are many parish that don,t like when people do thing,s, they give them a dirty look,God Bless ,may you understand me,for I speak for Our Lord.AMEN

As gently as I can, I need to point out that you are not speaking for the Lord. The most you can do is give your opinion, having checked that it is in accordance with the Gospel, the Catechism, and official documents.

You are not God. I fear for you if you truly believe that you are.

Yes, you can go up and ask them nicely to take their conversation outside because it is difficult for you to pray… And you can also listen when someone tries to give you some good advice and treat them with respect. It goes both ways. Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

There is nothing to laugh about, the Lord,s house of Worship is for worship ,Praying,coming too Mass,It is A Sacred place and Jesus see how we act in his house off Worship,remember when Jesus turn the tables over in the Temple, and what he said, as he was anger at those who treated,he Father house of Worship. If People can,t be there for the reason to pray and be there for Mass, than like one priest say, why are you hear.

No I,am not sticking it to you ,for I,am a SOLDER of Christ, as we all are ,when we made our confirmation,we are suppose to stand up and defend the church.

Ya ,but some people don,t want too hear what you got too say,I, do respect other,s, but they should let me be in peace before the Lord. and not get nasty toward,s me.Those kind of people I pray for,or like I seen a person chewing gum while Mass was going on, and he was looking all around,instead of following the Mass.Why do people bother coming if they can,t give the Lord 45 minutes of there time ,for all he suffer for US. God Bless friend in Christ.

Did you not hear what I was trying to tell you? YOU have to listen when others are trying give YOU some good advice, too. Don’t be like the Pharisee who went up to the temple to pray. He prayed to himself,- O God, I thank you that I am not like all these other people, I do this and that etc. etc. Rather, pray like the tax collector, “O God be merciful to me, a sinner.” (Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like your heart.)

I,am not God,but will defend the church, God,s House of Worship ,and the Holy Spirit will guide me to say the right thing,s, you,s don,t understand older people,but remember we know what we saying and Jesus is happy,that we stand up for his church. AMEN

Thank you ,for I want to touch people,s heart,s,and bring them closer too Jesus and Mary.I know that my post might be hard too understand,but if you read the Bible first time ,it would be hard to understand also,so I try my best too ,so people understand me,but a few people that read my post think differential but some do read and understand,so I,ll will always do my best for them to understand me.
