My life right now just seems to be as bad as it can be

-I have frequent depressed episodes
-I sin constantly and I’m too afraid to ask to go confession
  • I’m stuck in spiritual desolation which drains me of my energy and makes prayer hard which makes getting help hard
  • I get stressed about how stress gives me acne and depression which only makes it worse
  • I have extreme acne and I think if exercised if would help it but it hurts to move certain parts of my body (I can’t lay down) and depression makes me tired
-I worry about what people think
  • my friends are all busy because it’s summer and our groups are having trouble doing anything
  • sleeping is hard because of acne
  • Drowning in my own sin and desolation
  • have to worry about college and Jobs when I can barely even focus on anything
Like what can I even do everytime I’m given a chance I wimp out or miss it

Sometimes I think the only the thought of going to hell and the people I would hurt
Are the only things that keep me from wanting to die

It hurts in a way that isn’t even funny when you want to pray but can’t and forget
I just need a break and things to go right again
It’s been years

Oh, that sounds miserable. Please do avail yourself of the Sacrament of Penance–so much grace is there. And not to worry; they’ve heard it all before.

Please see a priest for confession. If you are scrupulous, talk to him on an ongoing basis. Either way, go to confession often because many graces are given.
Also, you should visit a psychiatrist for medication for your depression. It is very helpful. Without medication for depression, I couldn’t function at all.

It gets better. God bless you.

I’m really sorry that you are suffering so much.

Would you mind saying how old you are, whether you are male or female and what your diet is like (eg:how much sugar products you eat)?

Have you had your Androgen levels tested?

OP, you sound as though you have clinical depression. You need to see a doctor.

You need to see at least three people. First, a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist to vent your feelings and receive support and suggestions as well as possibly medication for your depression. Second, a priest or spiritual advisor to talk about your sadness and fears and receive some inspiration. Finally, a dermatologist who can perhaps provide you with a better treatment for your acne. Of course you can also express your thoughts and feelings to us on CAF. But please take concrete action as well by making these appointments with people who can actually help you feel better.

Just say the shortest prayer: " Help".

Second shortest prayer: “Hail Mary”.

Repeat over and over.

“Hail Mary … Help!”

Amen! This is the most complete answer you will receive.

Go to your parents and talk to them.

I don’t wanna scare my parents or spend money on treatment I don’t really need which would probably make it worse

I need love and friends
I had it go away for the most part because I met so many new people
Part of this episode is just missing them now

In some of your previous threads, we have suggested speaking to your parents. Have you done that yet?

I know the priests have but I don’t wanna confirm to my parents what they might be thinking already
That I do watch porn
I’m just hoping I go to an event that has confessions I can sneak to

You are probably scaring your parents more now with them not knowing what is going on with you. Talk to them. Acne can be helped by a dermatologist, I know it can really affect ones self esteem. Please, ask them to take you.

They already deal with so much
Even more with the diet change for my acne

They don’t need this right now

Plus I will be fine these eventually die down

The thing about being like this is you learn to appreciate little things and not care for big ones

At least try the acne treatment advertised on TV. Your parents will agree to that. It is much less than a doctor’s visit.

My son had severe acne which was eating at his self esteem, so I took him to see our family doctor who prescribed a long term low dose antibiotic. It took about three or four weeks before we noticed any real change and then the spots cleared up completely - it was like a miracle, he cheered up and got on with his life and the spots never came back…

So see your doctor and get it sorted…
