I want to be so close to God

I attend a catholic church with my mom. My mother grew up catholic. Well i always here wonderful miracle stories. I have heard where some people might be in danger and they started praying and all of a sudden they are protected by a light. And what i am trying to say is I want to try my hardest to be close to God. What i want to happen is, when i pray for something good to happen to people like healing or whatever I want it to come true. I know for example. This one time I know this protestant women who are against catholics and i prayed for her to lighten he heart and a couple months later she found out one of her good friends were a catholic and she totally changed her view about catholics.
Sometimes I feel like God has abandoned me.

And what i am trying to say is I want to try my hardest to be close to God.

The closer you come to God the harder will be your life. You may find that your prayers are answered now, but if you persevere there will come a time when you will feel God is not there, that He doesn’t care, even that He is against you. It’s just a feeling, God is closer (at least that is what saints say). You have to prepare for the cross.
I wish somebody would have taught me to be prepared beyond anything because not even in my wildest dreams I thought the cross would be so perfecty and dreadfully terrible (maybe there is no way to be completely prepared).

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Heb 11:6

God is very pleased by our persevering in and overcoming the obstacles to faith. The more humble, childlike, and simple our faith, the more He responds to us-now and then with fireworks but usually in more subtle ways. It’s all up to Him of course but He loves our asking, seeking and knocking-and perseverance.

God’s only desire for us is to be with Him. This can only happen through our union with Jesus Christ. This union with Christ is facilitated by the Holy Spirit. So, pray, receive the Sacraments and trust that God loves you and wants the best for you. The closer you are to Him, the easier it will be to get what you are asking for, because what you ask for will be in union with His Will.

And, don’t be afraid to ask the Blessed Virgin Mary for help. She will obtain many special graces for you if you ask for them and are sincere in your desire to grow close to Jesus.Your angels, too, are glad to help, but you must ask them.

Focus on the Lord and let everything else fall into place. Nothing happens outside the Will of God anyway, so let Him be the boss.

I don’t know if i have an angel. I never seen it or heard it. I guess i’ll see him or her when I die.

If you want to be close to Jesus Christ, go to him in front of the tabernacle and talk to Him. He is there, body, blood, soul and divinity. Tell Him how you want a real relationship with Him and continue to visit Him. He will answer you. It may not be the answers you ask for, but he will answer you in accord with His divine will.
