Everything is going horribly wrong and I don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve been dealing with health issues on and off for the past couple of years but now I am in nearly constant pain and unable to do much of anything. I’ve been to several different doctors and none have given me an answer or the help I need. I’ve had to give up everything I enjoy, and all of my career/dreams/future plans have been put on hold. I’m absolutely miserable and have been taking it out on the only people who’ve been there for me. I’m sorry for venting but I would really appreciate some prayers right now, for myself and for my poor family who have had to put up with me. I’m starting to give up hope, and I don’t want to sin by saying this but I’m starting to just wish I could be done with this life. I’ve been praying very hard but nothing seems to be working, and I just feel like giving up. Right now I can’t imagine how things could ever get better. Prayers would be appreciated immensely, for me and for my family. Thank you.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

May God ease your pain…
May you be filled with the peace of the Lord!
For this intention…
Our Father, Hail Mary x10, Glory Be, Fatima Prayer, AMEN!

you don’t say what sort of illness you have, whether it. Is something that can stabilize or will just get worse? Getting the pain under control is huge.I know how distracting it can be. There are doctors who understand. Never give up, although you may have to re-examine your plans and goals.

Hail Mary,
Full of grace,
The Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb,
Jesus
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of death,
Amen

Dear Choco-Chip,

I’m so sorry you’re going through difficult health problems. It’s no fun! I’ll keep in my daily prayers and hope God directs your steps.

I do have a few suggestions, whilst searching for medical help, there’s a program called Whole30. It’s a special diet for only 30 days, of no sugar, dairy, legumes and grains. After the 30 days, you can slowly re-introduce the forbidden foods to see any negative reactions. You could have food allergies or reduce the effects. There’s a private FB forum which has been so helpful and I was surprised to find many Christians and Catholics 🙂 on the Whole30 group.

Another thing you can do, I have found FB support forums very helpful…it does depend if you find a optimistic forum willing to help out with experiences and such.

When possible, visit the Blessed Sacrament, daily if possible, if you cannot. Then search for online LIVE Holy Blessed Sacrament.
Pray the rosary and the Divine Mercy chaplet. Trust in the LORD, I know…it’s a process.

This is a prayer recommended by a priest: " Heavenly Father, please let this chalice pass from me if it is not from you, but if I must drink from it, not my will but Thine be done."

Much love and prayers.

Prayer for Persons with Chronic Illness and Pain

The God of all grace who called You to His eternal glory
through Christ [Jesus] will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen,
and establish you after you have suffered a little. (1 Peter 5:10)

God of Compassion, You willingly took on our human condition
to experience the same pain, suffering, and death that we do.
Through Your Son’s resurrection, You transformed suffering
and death into new life and glory; and invite us to join our own
pain and struggles to those of Jesus. Increase the faith and
hope of all who are suffering, especially those living with
chronic illness and pain. Strengthen and confirm in them
the promise of new life and glory. We pray this through
the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes and in the name
of your Son, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen.

I will be praying for you and yours!

Someone once said (and I forgot who) said that “people in unfortunate circumstances gives others the opportunity to exercise goodwill.” I have to say this is true.
Once being a caretake for my ailing grandfather who was in constant pain because of cancer allowed me to experience deeper self-revelations and find strength to overcome not only that situation, but one that carries me throughout life, and I’m grateful!
I’m not going to preach that this life is not meant to be painfree or constantly happy (else we’d mistake this for heaven) but don’t give up hope and fall to despair.
I recommend reading the stories of the saints, some, like you, have been in tremendous pain (e.g. Ven. Marthe Robin, Blessed Alexandrina da Costa , etc.) with their trials and tribulations. Hold fast!

Choco-chip,

You’ve come to the right place in this forum, with many beautiful, holy prayer warriors who will offer your cause to God. I see how overwhelmed you feel and with good reason! For different pain reasons I’ve also been to God’s doorstep a few times asking what you ask, if it be His will. Then surrendering, I asked His assistance and guidance.

This early morning time I ask the intercessions of our dearly departed EWTN foundress Mother Angelica toward your bearing this harsh journey and that the your pain may be relieved, physically and spiritually.

Know that you are loved by the spiritual Body of Christ in our midst and by He, Himself, physically, who experienced all human travail, including accepting the cup of pain of torture and crucificiation for our suffering and redemption.

May you find comfort and cure for your affliction through the mercy of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.

P.S. Today’s reading from Romans says it all. Peace.

I’m praying for you and your family to get over this dark period in your life.

From Saint Francis De Sales,
Do not look forward in fear to the changes in life; rather, look to them with full hope that as they arise, God, Whose very own you are, will lead you safely through all things; and when you cannot stand it, God will carry you in His Arms.

Do not fear what may happen tomorrow; the same understanding Father Who cares for you today will take care of you then and every day.

He will either shield you from suffering or will give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace, and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations.

Divine Mercy Chaplet

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Praying for you-

O Holy Virgin,
in the midst of all your glory,
we ask you not to forget
the sorrows of this world.
Cast a look of pity upon all
who struggle against life’s difficulties,
and who cease not to feel all its bitterness.
Have pity on all who have been
separated from those they love.
Have pity on the lonely and friendless.
Pardon the weakness of our faith.
have pity on those whom we love.
O Holy Mother,
show a mother’s compassion toward the sorrowful
and those who tremble under life’s afflictions.
Give them hope and peace.

Amen.🙏

Praying that God will instill in you new hope and strength needed to cope with your health issues. May God grant you other pursuits to replace those that you can’t enjoy and have been put on hold .

May God give you the patience needed to keep smooth relationships with family and for family members who are trying to assist you. May God grant you relief from pain and sense of purpose.

God bless,
