I was a Sinful Atheist. I feel like I sinned too much to be truly Saved.

Briefly,

You repent, so you will be forgiven. That is your necessary part in the operation.

No matter what you did or said, if your intention is now to live the life you deserve (we all deserve it, especially the sinners who we are, for the merits of Christ).

Please read and re-read the parable of the prodigal son, and tell me then if he didn’t do and say horrible things, and how he wasn’t forgiven.

Then, prepare to be amazed by God, since you know the song and how amazing grace can get. 😃

Confess your sins and prayer.

Psalms 40:3 “I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.”

Illness of the mind can be linked to an absence of God. When I was younger and foolish I was depressed and lashed out at my brothers and sisters. I had to endure a Secular public school system in America which stagnated my growth and kept me from seeing the Lord. I am still bitter about it to this day.

Yes, I grew in that environment, but my fall from grace was my choice looking back at it to this day for I had sinned terribly in my youth.

Repentance.

=brandymmiller;12297440]There are only two sins you can commit that cannot be forgiven because they are blaspheming against the holy spirit.
The first is to refuse forgiveness to someone else. This is a rejection of the Holy Spirit’s ability to work in the other person’s life for positive change and a rejection of Christ’s requirement that we forgive. God’s justice is as perfect as His mercy. He can forgive us only as much as we forgive others.
The second is to reject His forgiveness for yourself. He’s already forgiven you, but you must accept it before it can take effect in your life. Remember: God does not want your guilt and He does not want your shame. What He wants is your repentance and your willingness to get back up and try again.
Be at peace, my friend. The damage you have done, if you will turn it over to Him, He will use to bless you and those you have harmed a thousand fold. For God works all things (ALL things) for the good
Brandy,

**WRONG!

There is ONLY one unforgivable sin: Denial of God and what he offers and teaches.👍

And even this CAN be forgive to ANYONE who repents and converts!

God Bless all!

QUOTE: I feel like I don’t deserve to be a Catholic in a way, since I have done very sinful things.

I’ve never answered one of these before so hopefully I’m doing this right. I would direct you to look at St. Paul the apostle who, before he converted, actually hunted down and killed all the Christians that he could find. And yet, God specifically chose him to do His ministry. If anyone would have felt like they were unforgivable, it was St. Paul. Yet, he accepted God’s forgiveness. You should also try to emulate St. Paul by accepting Christ’s forgiveness. Also, Christ is there in the sacrament of reconciliation. In doubting that He can forgive you, you are truly thinking that your sins are bigger than God. You are doubting whether Christ’s sacrifice is enough. I do not mean to be hard on you, but this is true. You should probably pray that God will help you with these feelings because I am sure that they are doubts put there by Satan t keep you from God and His Church. I also suggest that you confess these doubts in the sacrament of reconciliation next time you go. Also, as a penance and to undo the damage you may have done, perhaps you could evangelize for Christ now. If you were good at evangelizing for atheism then you will be good at it for God too. 🙂
