Well we know for fact the Holy Catholic Apostolic Church was started by St Peter that day after coverting 3000. Of course it spead around the sea shortly after. 300-years left the martyred for Christ. I doubt anyone would die for lie, would you?

I belong the CC. I could not tell you what another believes.

Peace

or the catholic church broke away form them. 😉

When a person has two divorces under their belt the problem likely lays with that person.
So are you saying the Eastern Orthodox Churches have never fractured further of lost communion with each other?

We cannot say the Church isn’t fractured. There’s the Catholic churches and the non-Catholic Eastern churches who all claim to be the one true church. Then there are the many ecclesial communities from the Reformation. I do not think we should just sit back and say that’s nothing to do with me. Christ left us with one church. The current situation is the fault of Man. We all have a responsibility to resolve this.
👍👍

I also believe that the True Church is and resides in the Catholic Church, but I do not believe that we can say it is not fractured! Blessed John Paul II said that the Church must breathe with both her lungs again. No genuine Christian can read Our Lord’s discourse on Holy Thursday and his prayer “That they may be one, as you and I…” and think the Church is cool when there are large groups of Christians without communion with each other- the very thing that Jesus prayed for! Let us work toward it but mostly “pray, pray, pray”. Only God the Holy Spirit forges unity- It’s he who made the community of believers into one mystical body.

Perhaps one day he’ll illumine the leadership of our ancient churches and who knows, they may just realize that true mystical communion may have just always been preserved in God the Holy Spirit present in all the Apostolic Churches! 🤷 Perhaps we are all truly the Church without fully realizing it…:hmmm:Perhaps God the Holy Spirit did the impossible and retained mystical unity despite the sins of the members?? Anyway, better stop before I head into heresy territory:p!

Peace!

But I thought the Eastern Catholic Churches were the “other lung” 🤷.

with respect that is also, only your opinion too.

how does eph 1:4 come into play?
Just bc all who are saved may be apart of the invisible Body of Christ doesn’t mean there isn’t one true Church.
