No you where not insulting at all. You are just saying it how it is - no harm there.Did you read what I just wrote? That’s not what I’m saying, and again, I’m not trying to insult anyone

Your response about skeptics. How could that be interpreted any other way than saying those who are skeptics lack faith.Anne1964:
Right? Sad to see the lack of faith when someone explicitly describes what they experienced.I’m sorry you have run into so many skeptics on this thread. I believe you when you say you were healed. You don’t have to prove anything to anyone here.
Sometimes @Montrose it needs to be said as it is. No need to be angered.Your response about skeptics. How could that be interpreted any other way than saying those who are skeptics lack faith.
Well, I think that it could be interpreted differently in reference to the object that people were skeptical about (her healing) was showing a lack of faith (meaning a belief that God supernaturally heals people). I was not objecting to people thinking she was lying, although I’m not sure what her motivation would be.Your response about skeptics. Greater detail?? It’s very simple.Perhaps you could describe what you’re objecting to in greater detail. I’m not sure I understand what you’re saying, but you seem very frustrated.
Firstly, such talk is not permitted in these forums. You are not permitted to question someone’s faith in these forums.Sometimes @Montrose it needs to be said as it is. No need to be angered.
I see you are not willing to describe in greater detail, nor are you willing to clarify, and instead only repeat what you have already said. So I don’t think we can come to the meeting of the minds. I don’t know why the phrase “lack of faith” hit a nerve with you. I’m a protestant convert, and sometimes I don’t use Catholic terminology correctly, so maybe that’s the problem. I was simply agreeing with another poster about our mutual disappointment. It was not my intention to attack anyone’s character. Sheesh.Lucy_1:

You insulted those who are skeptical about the OP’s story by saying it shows a lack of faith which is a ridiculous comment to make.
Talking about a poster’s lack of faith is not permitted.
Maybe using the term miraculous is where it went wrong? To me if someone is experiencing a long illness, and then overnight they’re healed, to me that is miraculous and a reason to rejoice. I was thinking of the term generally, and not in exactly the way that the church would use it in order to prove a miracle. Indeed the OP wasn’t asking for that kind of verification, or any verification at all.But because the Church has not investigated, I believe it’s premature to attribute the illness to extraordinary diabolical activity or call the healing miraculous.
