“Casting spells, I saw results. Usually, it was like — maybe I needed money or I needed a car. I needed love in my life. It was very selfish."

“‘I did not believe that I was worshipping Satan,’ she said. ‘But now I realize I was deceived. I believe it was the spiritual deception [the devil] uses to defeat people.’’’

Then, as she tells it, she camea back to Christianity.

Because the New York Post is the place to go for serious, indepth articles about Faith.

My takeaway from that article is that witches dress nicely and everybody else is frumpy.

Good to know

multiple conservative scholars have concluded that there were
more than 200,000 people who have declared themselves witches in the United States,
and as many as 8 million undeclared practitioners of “the craft.”
This makes sorcery the second-fastest-growing religion in the US, after Islam.

And the number of witches reportedly doubles every 30 months.

What a wild article. Sad too.
She dabbled - and got hooked - into the lifestyle.
I bet it wasn’t that easy - to break scott free - from the demons she conjured.

Well I myself dabbled throughout my young life my grandmother learned cold reading and fortune telling from her mother in law so I learned from her. I got involved in a cult too so perhaps she’s telling the truth the occult has been pretty mainstream since the 1960s and has been popular since the late 1800s astrology golden dawn and British witchcraft but id say the majority of " I came to Jesus" stories are exaggerated like the satanic abuse stories just my viewpoint on it

Why, just why did you feel the need to repost the photo? She is Christian now.

.
Several people objected to my using the picture of this person in the opening post. I will consider these comments seriously.

“And the number of witches reportedly doubles every 30 months.”

Mathematicians predict that by 2040, the entire surface of the Earth will be covered in witches.

Guess the production of brooms will increase then . That at least is a positive one …

Guess the production of brooms will increase then
A knowledgeable friend of mine said “It’s for those reasons that I suggest that all broom production should be stopped immediately.”

I pointed out that if that happened no one would be able to clear up their yards!

He poo pood that as a sweeping statement.

I considered becoming a solitary witch while I was away from the Church because I wanted to get back to my Celtic roots. I would have had to be solitary though because I know some wiccan types who used it as a socialization and romance circle similar to the woman in the article, and I found that extremely unappealing. I never got very far with the idea and suspect if I’d had to do anything with the horned god and mother goddess I wouldn’t have been able to take it seriously anyway. I decided I like being a prayer warrior better.
