I am so THRILLED!!! I feel honored to be able to represent the Church that our King, Jesus Christ founded. I am so so excited to become an official member and to receive the Holy Spirit!!!
I was baptized into the Catholic church when I was an infant but I was never confirmed after my first communion.
Am I currently considered a Roman Catholic??

Of course! by your baptism you are a sharer in the threefold office of Christ, priest, prophet and king.

You are confirming this participation in the person of Christ. Thank you for sharing your news and joy.

Yes, Angelina, you became a member of the Church the day you were baptised. Receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation will make you a “full-fledged” member, ready to fly.

Thanks be to God! Yes you are!

Yes, you are a part of the Roman Catholic faith! Congratulations and welcome home! 😃

Confirmation is our personal participation in Pentacost.

Before Pentacost, the disciples were locked in the upper room out of fear.

After Pentacost, they spoke out boldly, without fear. Peter boldly addressed the Sanhedrin which had the power to sentance him to death. St. Stephen spoke out in the name of Jesus and was not afraid to die for it.

That is what confirmation is. It is our personal Pentacost.

Congrats!! Drop it like its hot and do the happy dance!! Welcome home!!! We are here for you as you grow in your faith… 😉

Dear Angelina,

By standing at the foot of the cross, venerating and begging Jesus for the salvation of your soul, you have chosen also your destiny in future, together with us, to make reparation for all the sins of the whole world.

You have offered your blood and are ready to mingle it with the blood of Jesus Christ for the reparation of sins.

Never compromise the truth, but stand firm, deeply rooted in the traditions of the catholic church and in the dogmas of faith.

You will find the devil working harder on you than ever before, when you fulfill your tasks in accordance to God’s will.

Pray for Papa Benedict XVI every day and for the unity of the Roman Catholic Church and first of all for the Unity of the Roman Catholic Church and nothing but the Unity of the Roman Catholic and Apostolic Church. Everything will go well with us, when we do so.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Dear Guardian Angel, pray for us! Mama Mary, pray for us!

Just a major correction with the title of this thread, in case anyone has not picked up on it. There is no such thing as the “Holy, Apostolic, Roman Catholic Church.”

There is the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church, which is made up of 23 churches, one being the Latin Catholic Church. One is confirmed in one of the Catholic Churches.

One is received into and confirmed in.

If one wants to be specific the Latin Catholic Church or the Roman Catholic Church.

The use of Roman in the along with one, holy catholic and apostolic has been a point of contention between the Eastern Catholics and the Roman Catholics for a long time.

I don’t know how Roman Catholics fell into the bad habit of mixing and matching terms. But it really bothers many Eastern Catholics and Eastern Orthodox.

Fraternally,

Br. JR, FFV 🙂

I became a Catholic about 20 years ago. My husband became a Catholic five years ago. We have never looked back. Welcome Home.
