Ezekiel 36:25-27

I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.

Why is this creature sooo…happy and full of joy? Was she sprinklered with water by a Catholic Priest or a Protestant Pastor? Or, was this creature spinklered with clean water by God?

seems you edited your post after my reply. pretty dirty accomplishment and very unethical. you contribute nothing. but if you want to know who “spinklered” by, it’s of herself as evident in the photo.

Not intentional. I think we have 20 minutes to edit our postings.

This is why one should quote to what one is replying. This happened on another forum, the one person would keep editing his posts, making the following nonsensical. Quote a person to show the reply.

Here is the theological significance of this thread.

25 For circumcision indeed is of value if you obey the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision becomes uncircumcision. 26 So, if a man who is uncircumcised keeps the precepts of the law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded [2] as circumcision? 27 Then he who is physically uncircumcised but keeps the law will condemn you who have the written code [3] and circumcision but break the law. 28 For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. 29 But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God. Romans 2

To connect the theological dots, here is some help.

25 For water baptism indeed is of value if you obey the law, but if you break the law, your water baptism becomes no baptism. 26 So, if a man who is unbaptized keeps the precepts of the law, will not his unbaptism be regarded as true baptism? 27 Then he who is physically not baptized but keeps the law will condemn you who have the written code [3] and baptism but break the law. 28 For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is baptism outward and physical. 29 But a Jew is one inwardly, and baptism is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God. (edited)

That machine is not happy, for one thing. It appears happy because Disney, it’s maker, has made it appear happy. It is sprinkled with water because the pipes going through it’s internal systems are made to sprinkle it with water. The water is not very clean, either, as anybody who’s been on Jungle Cruise can verify.

Once again I don’t understand the purpose of your post, reformed?

I think I second: in persona Christi.

Look to the post right before your posting. Baptismal regeneration is a false hope. You must be born from above.

John 3 (yes go back in read it in context, the entire book of John)

Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You [4] must be born again.’ 8 The wind [5] blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

You beat me to it!
As soon as I say the picture, I was like “what does the Jungle Cruise at Disney have to do with anything?”

And animals don’t have immortal souls, anyway- so the whole premise around the question makes no sense.

Nice try.

There are other scriptures that show the regenative process of Baptism and they, amazingly enough, actually mention Baptism. You don’t have to change words in Scripture to come up with a supposed connection.

No, I think I’ll stick with the Church. You still have yet to start forming arguments from Scripture AND Tradition. You’re working with only half the tools God gave you. When you can do both and come to your conclusions, maybe you’ll start making more sense.

BTW it’s really annoying to have to go back and check to make sure you haven’t added anything or deleted something from your posts every five minutes. It’s usually the sign of a dishonest debater.

Have you ever seen the Disney movies on the Chronicles of Narnia? Yes, we can agree that Asland the Lion is a type of Christ. I should have used a picture of a sheep sprinkled with water instead. Check out this photo.

Next time, quote. That way he can’t change it.

. 🙂 Consider the Holy Scriptures:

Job 12

Job Replies: The Lord Has Done This

Then Job answered and said:

“No doubt you are the people,
and wisdom will die with you.
But I have understanding as well as you;
I am not inferior to you.
Who does not know such things as these?
I am a laughingstock to my friends;
I, who called to God and he answered me,
a just and blameless man, am a laughingstock.
In the thought of one who is at ease there is contempt for misfortune;
it is ready for those whose feet slip.
The tents of robbers are at peace,
and those who provoke God are secure,
who bring their god in their hand. [1]

“But ask the beasts, and they will teach you;
the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you;
or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you;
and the fish of the sea will declare to you.
Who among all these does not know
that the hand of the Lord has done this?

In his hand is the life of every living thing
and the breath of all mankind.
Does not the ear test words
as the palate tastes food?
Wisdom is with the aged,
and understanding in length of days.

“With God are wisdom and might;
he has counsel and understanding.
If he tears down, none can rebuild;
if he shuts a man in, none can open.
If he withholds the waters, they dry up;
if he sends them out, they overwhelm the land.
With him are strength and sound wisdom;
the deceived and the deceiver are his.
He leads counselors away stripped,
and judges he makes fools.
He looses the bonds of kings
and binds a waistcloth on their hips.
He leads priests away stripped
and overthrows the mighty.
He deprives of speech those who are trusted
and takes away the discernment of the elders.
He pours contempt on princes
and loosens the belt of the strong.
He uncovers the deeps out of darkness
and brings deep darkness to light.
He makes nations great, and he destroys them;
he enlarges nations, and leads them away.
He takes away understanding from the chiefs of the people of the earth and makes them wander in a pathless waste.
They grope in the dark without light,
and he makes them stagger like a drunken man

Hi Isa,

I think you are breaking Catholic Forum rules with that post. I think you are sinning against God too.

1 Peter 3:15
but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,

And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will. 2 Tim 2

Now you post a self portrait, Reformed? (BTW, I was talking about the wolf in sheep’s clothing. You posted the boar as I was typing this)

(Acts 2:38 KJV) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

(Acts 22:16 KJV) And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

(Romans 6:2 KJV) God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
(Romans 6:3 KJV) Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
(Romans 6:4 KJV) Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
(Romans 6:5 KJV) For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:(Romans 6:6 KJV) Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
(Romans 6:7 KJV) For he that is dead is freed from sin.

And what His likeness after His Resurrection? Created anew. Perfect.
