Little Mary:
No, the lead singer of Deep Purple wasn’t Paisley, was it? First name Ian, but not Paisley. Can’t remember. I’ll go check my Jesus Christ Super Star CD.

Paisley, hmmm, are you sure?? Now it’s bugging me.
It was purely a joke. His name is Ian Paice.

Gillan. Gillan . GILLAN That’s it!!

You know how you have something on the tip of your tongue but it drives you nuts because you can’t think of it?
**Ian Gillan!!! **

Whew. I feel better. Now, back to sanity…

Scott, forgive me. I am not a follower of Deep Purple, but I thought Ian Gillan, lead singer of Deep Purple, also played Jesus in the '70’s movie Jesus Christ Superstar.

Are we talking about two different Ians? Have I got it all wrong? Could be; I’m more the mellow Dan Fogelberg type. :o

panting, out of breath, going for ice water now

I read his website, and I must say Ian Paisley is the king of European Protestant anti-Catholicism. It is as though opposing the Papacy is a central tenet of his faith, on a par or greater than serving Christ. He appears to be somewhere between a James White and a Jack Chick, quite virulent!

If anyone has time to take him on, here is his case against Rome: ianpaisley.org/toc.asp?loc=rome
