IBethel - Danny Silk

Anybody know anything about the IBethel church and its speaker Danny Silk?

A friend would like to me to watch his sermons with her (which I’m perfectly willing to do no matter what his faith is) but when I asked her who they’re affiliated with and what they believe she had no answer. I tried to do some research online but all I managed to dig up is that they used to be affiliated with the Assemblies of God (A Pentecostal organization) but have now split off on their own.

What DOES Danny Silk teach? I wasn’t able to pin that down on his website either, although I did find their statement of belief and it didn’t seem TOO far off from the truth. I also ran into some clearly anti-IBethel websites but I’m not sure if I should believe them or not (you know how it is - people post lies about churches all the time).

Anybody have any experience with this church/movement? I don’t want to go into this unequipped and am hoping to have some idea what I will be refuting when I view these sermons with her (I do intend to refute anything said that is not biblical and I kind of suspect I’m going to run into some of that).

dont know what they teach. but part of the problem now days, is a person can form their own church at any time. with no accountability. we have a former Catholic in my own hometown, that started her own church, it has grown by leaps and bounds. but it has very little to do with the truth, and more to do with entertainment. some even outside of the Catholic Church have started to call her movement a cult. i for one do not have any real interest in protestantism as a whole except for the Anglicans, and others who are closer to us. in alot of these self made churches, there is no accountability to God or to man. its sad. peace
