Could you please identify your communion/community/denomination if you have one? Or is this your own personal understanding?

Jon
I communion with THE NAME Christ Jesus and his Spirit. There are others who also communion with his Spirit who he leads.

Even though I was brought up in a denominational church and still am a member, I stand for THE NAME and can not advertise nor endorse the name of the denomination.

My understanding is given to me from the Holy Spirit of The Lord and I give glory and honour to Christ who shared his mystery with me.
Hebrews 8:11
And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
The Spirit of truth leads to the truth of Christ and I can only acknowledge him, when you ask me about this knowledge.

That is why he is called the sovereign Lord, because he reveals to them what he wishes to be revealed.

Mat Christ bless you

So a non-denom. Or extra-strict Baptist.

That’s some fine exegesis there.

But why should I accept your teaching over the teaching of some guy on the street?
This is the fundamental lesson that is being ignored by many Christians. Listen friend, you will not find the truth from me, nor some guy on the street.

I wanted this to be crystal clear.

Now, your lesson is not learnt from outward sources and don’t even look for those sources where ever they are. You as a Christian are supposed to be doing inward learning.

What is inward learning?

You need to solely rely on the Spirit of Christ to instruct you according to his truth. This will not happen overnight, for it requires patience and long suffering, for you yearn, to learn the mysteries of The Lord.

If The sovereign Lord wishes to reveal his mysteries to you, then he will reveal to you himself first. If he has not revealed himself first, then the door of your heart is still open to the world. You need to close that door and open it fully for Christ, so that he can enter into your heart and open the flood gates of the living waters to counsel you in matters concerning the Spirit.

When you spoke to me the way you did, I knew that the door of your heart, is fully opened to the world, because you failed to recognise the voice of Christ in me. It is Christ who instructed me and sent me, but you didn’t recognise his voice. However the worldly voices concerning other matters of the flesh you will surely listen to, but when I spoke to you of matters concerning the Spirit, you automatically raised your brick wall in defence.

Don’t be disheartened friend, I mean well to instruct you for your own edification, so that you are well equipped by Christ to be lead by him and be qualified to represent him.

Scripture instructs you, to not quench the Spirit when it uses a servant to prophesy, but test the spirit to see of it is from God. Unfortunately you are not in a position to qualify or quantify what I shared with you, because you asked no questions. Instead my prophesying aroused an anxiety in you, where by you tried to defend your state of mind, by a none sequitur response.

Do you know something friend, you much like I was previously, are captives of themind and heart to the ways of this world, by relying outwardly on men, rather than the Spirit of Christ to lead us into his truth.

Christ’s truth shall set you free, but initially it will get a reaction that you have displayed.

As I said, do not be disheartened, this is the Spirit waking up your spiritual senses, don’t resist what ever you do. Go now and seek Christ with all your heart and ask him about what I have testified. Ask Christ to instruct you.

Outward learning is biased to what you want to learn and not necessarily to what Christ wants you to learn. Are you instructed by the world or are you lead by the Spirit of Christ.

May Christ bless you

Friend I answered your question already, must I repeat myself.

Listen, I was brought up in a denomination and I am still a member of. I will not name it nor endorse it, however I will only proclaim THE NAME, Christ Jesus and no other name beside him, COMPRENDE.

May Christ bless you

What a minute…WHAT?
Could you please provide us with evidence you…personally…have been sent from Christ.
And then you need to apologize to the poster you are speaking to.

We gotta a live one here folks.

Like I said, this guy wants us to believe that what he is telling us is from the Holy Spirit, yet it contradicts what the Holy Spirit taught the ancient church. Thus, either the Holy Spirit is the author of confusion (FALSE) or he has been led astray by another spirit (TRUE)

The problem is not that the Holy Spirit does not talk to us, but one of discernment. Simply that most people cannot discern when the Holy Spirit is talking to them, when it is their own thoughts and feelings coming up, or when it is the Evil One tempting them.

We know it cannot always be the Holy Spirit because it tells different people very different things. Sometimes it even tells us to brutally murder people.

How can we discern when it is the Holy Spirit and when it is not?

I am sure, given the example of murder above, you’d say, “That can’t be the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit would never tell us to do that!”. If you said that, you’d be right. But how do we know that? Certainly it doesn’t tell us in the Bible anywhere that the Holy Spirit won’t ask us to murder people. But by accepting that the Holy Spirit won’t you are acknowledging that the Holy Spirit is consistent.

This is where something which all ancient Christian groups have in common comes into play.

Holy Tradition. The teachings of the Church, the teachings of the Fathers, the teachings of Scripture, of the Apostles, and of the Holy Spirit. We look at these teachings and we can see if something is consistent with them or not. We know if it is truly the Holy Spirit, and we know whether or not we should reject it.

And Holy Tradition, given to us through the Holy Spirit, tells us that just because you “feel” something it doesn’t mean it is the Holy Spirit talking to you.

Listen to the the Spirit of Christ and he will lead you to all truth. If you are not guided by his Spirit you will never discern his voice. The voice of Christ is discerned by those who listen to him. Obedience is to him only and not an institution.

If we have anything to learn from, we need to take the example of the Pharisees versus Jesus and we see the antithesis versus the thesis at play even today through mouths that have not been tamed to be quiet when required and to listen when expected.

We must all listen to Christ’s voice and if we don’t speak of our own testimony and thereby rely on the testimony of others, then we have become copy cats.

But some may say, copy cats of what?

Copy cats of what one believes to be the authority in all things.

Maybe the authority that is being followed is wrong at best. Then those copying, are copying the wrong, because they don’t have a testimony of their own, so how will they know.

Basically a true christian will have a testimony of their own, yet the same voice of Christ speaks through them and the same voice is discerned.

Yes your right, an institution has a voice and a company has a voice and a motto, yet we are called to represent the voice of Christ first hand and not through someone else’s testimony.

Are we mere copy cats of the world, or are we following the Spirit of Christ and allowing him to speak through us.

Sanctification is not a process that can be learnt, nor can it be earned. Sanctification is what the sovereign Lord apportions to his body of believers. These believers vouch for the name of Christ and not the name of the institution or the hierarchy of that institution.

As Saint Paul once said, are you baptised in the name of Paul or the name of Christ?

May Christ bless you.
