Hi. Rosalinda gave me the idea of printing up a Pro-life Maternity top. Since I’m pregnant, my old pro-life shirt doesn’t fit anymore. Does anyone have any ideas on what to print? Eye-catching slogans? Pictures are tough because, well, I don’t know how.

Any suggestions would be more than welcome.

Thanks.

How about “It’s a child, not a choice.” And then, if you can manage it, an arrow pointing down at your midsection.

Hmmm. I’ll consider that. (I wonder how I do the arrow?)

Does anyone know if you can get a picture of the sonogram onto a shirt? I have a nice one that shows the whole body pretty clearly. Maybe I could have a phrase like, “Not made for research.”

Well, how about a take-off on the “What would Jesus do” slogan? Something along the line, "What did Mary say? YES!" maybe "What would Mary do?" would be closer.

or "What if Mary said, “No.”?

**“FIAT” **is bold and simple. People might stop to ask what it means.

Not my will but Thine” that would really set back the ‘pro-choice’ advocates.

possibly, “I’m not going to be a mother.” on one side of the shirt and on the other it would read, “I am one now

You could try a play with the name God called Himself the I Am who Am. “I am who I am 'cause the I Am loves me!”

Of course, there are a lot of pro-life websites which already have any number of slogans. Let’s not forget that teenager changed her mind after seeing the, “Don’t stop a heartbeat.” bumper sticker.

A local printshop can put a photograph on for your top if you don’t know how to Susan. Keep us up-to-date on your project.

Zygote=Human
Embyro=Human
Fetus=Human
Baby=Human

I am pregnant with a Human, period.

(That’s something I’ve been tinkering with.)

Hi SusanL!! Glad to see you posting!

How about “Baby-to-Be” with an arrow pointing to your belly–then cross it off, then write “Baby Already”!! Hope that makes sense:thumbsup:

Oooh. All cool ideas. I especially like the idea of what if Mary said no.

That might be better than the idea I had. I was going to say… Made for life not research. (reference to embryonic stem cell research).

Cool ideas. Thanks. Keep posting if you think of more. You guys are on a roll.

Kudos!!! 👍

What about just

Baby on Board…

?

or,

My mom choose life!

or,

Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect

or,

blessed is the Fruit of thy womb

or

Before I Formed You In The Womb I Knew You

Amy, I particularly like, “Blessed be the fruit of Thy womb” A small adjustment could be “Blessed be the fruit of my womb” to personalize it more. What a contrast from, “My body, my choice” which leads to:

His body, his choice
or “Her body, her choice

yet again, “My body, my choice, my baby

Finally, similar slogans have already been suggested, “My baby is happy with my choice” or simpler yet “Happy with my choice” If we don’t want to leave out the fathers “our baby” and “our choice” may be more appropriate.

Blessed is my choice” sums them all up.

LET IT BE.

MOTHER MARY SAYS TO ME,
“LET IT BE!”

**LIFE BEGINS IN ME, **
WITH ME,
THROUGH ME.

small beginning
BIG FUTURE

a little heart beats
beneath mine

Blessed be
the little heart
beating
below mine.

LONG LIVE
the LITTLE HEART
BEATING with MINE

Hey Rosalinda!! You are on a roll!!!

Now I have two little jobs to do: decide which one (or ones) and find a decent maternity shirt. 😃

Thanks everyone!! You’re the best!!

The best one is “a little heart beats beneath mine”. That one touched me. 👍

Susan, you may have a calling here - collecting ideas for a whole new line of clothing!!! There are so many great ideas!

My first thought was you could make 9 shirts, 1 for each month of your pregnancy (or for how many ever months you have left). They would say basically the same thing. For example: “My baby is already six months old” (and point to your belly).

“And God breathed life into him…” (quoted from Genesis). Life begins at conception. Babies are miracles!

And just to counter the radical feminist thoughts: Being pregnant is a priviledge no man can experience!

I tell ya, it is so hard to even find decent maternity clothes of any kind. I’ve gone to JCPenneys, Motherhood, KMart and I think one other major store and they all have junk. They’re all making clothes for women 20 years younger than me and they’re indecent. I finally found a pair of shorts that I could wear at Motherhood. Penneys had shorts but they were low-rise!! :eek:

I’m 42 and I realize that there are more mothers-to-be younger than me than my age but there has got to be a market for conservative wear that won’t break a budget. I’m an organist for church and pretty soon, what few dresses I can wear won’t fit me anymore. All my clothes from previous pregnancies are for winter.

The maternity clothes that I’ve seen are either junk, highly inappropriate, have a stupid slogan or will make me look like someone trying to be younger than I am. 😛 I don’t want to look foolish. I just need some decent clothes. I’ve taken up sewing recently to help resolve this problem but it’s been years since I’ve sewn.

I’ve got to see if there are any maternity tops that I can buy than I can put a pro-life slogan on. Does anyone know of an online site I could visit? Thanks. Sue

You might try Lands End maternity wear

Lands End Maternity

Their styles are more conservative, not trendy and silly, and the quality should be good if the quality of the maternity wear is similar to that of their “regular” clothing.

Thanks. I’m going to take a look. I’m looking now at pro-life websites that supposedly have maternity clothes. Hardly anything yet and what I found I would never wear. Crude talk or a “nothing” shirt. (That was a pro-life shirt from a non-pro-life website)
