I got some nice short sleeve shirts from Sears a few years ago.
It was a hit- and - miss project to find clothes this time- be prepared to pick up only 1 or 2 items at any 1 place (if your lucky!) and don’t give up!

Hi. Rosalinda gave me the idea of printing up a Pro-life Maternity top. Since I’m pregnant, my old pro-life shirt doesn’t fit anymore. Does anyone have any ideas on what to print? Eye-catching slogans? Pictures are tough because, well, I don’t know how.

Any suggestions would be more than welcome.

Thanks.

I tell ya, it is so hard to even find decent maternity clothes of any kind. I’ve gone to JCPenneys, Motherhood, KMart and I think one other major store and they all have junk. They’re all making clothes for women 20 years younger than me and they’re indecent. I finally found a pair of shorts that I could wear at Motherhood. Penneys had shorts but they were low-rise!!

I’m 42 and I realize that there are more mothers-to-be younger than me than my age but there has got to be a market for conservative wear that won’t break a budget. I’m an organist for church and pretty soon, what few dresses I can wear won’t fit me anymore. All my clothes from previous pregnancies are for winter.

The maternity clothes that I’ve seen are either junk, highly inappropriate, have a stupid slogan or will make me look like someone trying to be younger than I am. 😛 I don’t want to look foolish. I just need some decent clothes. I’ve taken up sewing recently to help resolve this problem but it’s been years since I’ve sewn.

I’ve got to see if there are any maternity tops that I can buy than I can put a pro-life slogan on. Does anyone know of an online site I could visit? Thanks. Sue

I just browsed CarolAnn’s link for Land’s End. Their stuff looks fine from here. I saw some stuff that was appropriate for a woman who’s in her late 30’s - early 40’s.

I know it’s more money, but you might want to take a look at Robinson’s-May, Nordstom’s or Macy’s (I know a couple of shopaholics, one of whom has had 7 sons and 1 daughter). I think you’ll have more luck in one of those stores, and the stuff’s better quality. and, They won’t break your budget if you hit them during the LABOR DAY SALES (Robinson’s-May and Macy’s), and Nordstrom’s has a budget section. and a twice yearly women’s sale that’s pretty much worth going to, along with rolling sales in various departments.

The On-Line Mail-Order will take4 at least a week , so I think it’s worth a try.

here’s a link to the Eddie Bauer Catalog - Their stuff is pretty similar to Land’s End’s. I don’t think they have a Maternity section, but you still might find something:

eddiebauer.com/eb/cat_splash_no_nav.asp?nv=22509 (click women - The URL was just too long…)

At least some of what’s in their catalog is stuff you might want to wear, and it’s active wear, so it’ll be more roomy…

I hope that helps.

Blessed are they who act to save God’s Little Ones, Michael
