Sometimes when we pray at night or during the day…when we are having are own prayer intentions, we might have to think awhile or even feel blank as to “what to pray for”. We may feel we are praying for trivial things. The purpose of this potential thread is to attach some good "General Catholic Prayers"that abide by our moral code that worth praying for and mentioning to others in which you may have never prayed for these before or just did not think to: I would like to start the thread with some ideas…please reply with other prayer topics so we can give each other ideas for more global praying and a coming together in the holy spirit:

1. Prayer for those who are incarcerated in any way…be it a prison, mental or state hospital…that they may find hope and peace in such a facility in the likes of a good hearted companion…be it a nurse, prison guard, mental health worker, room mate or other.
2. Prayer for an end to all abortion
3. Prayer for world peace
4. Prayer for oil-rig workers, for their physical safety
5. Prayer for a cure to Diabetes
6. Prayer for cures for the various types of cancer and better treatments
7. Prayer for Peace in the middle East
8. Prayer for the continuation of this site “Catholic Answers, To Explain and Defend the Faith.”
9. Prayer for more vocations in the priesthood, sisters and brothers
10. Prayer for the Pope
11. Prayer for the environment and that it will continue to sustain humanity
12. Prayer for the various surgeons and doctors in America who will be undergoing surgery for those in critical condition,…may God Bless their hands
13. Prayer for the end to capital punishment

Prayer for All Humanity

Bless us all, 0 Lord, we pray, for loved ones, here and near, and far away. And everyone for whom we pray. Keep us safe each night and day, the homeless who have no place to stay. Those who are suffering in any way. The dying, those mourning or grieving and all who need God’s mercy. Keep us safe, Heavenly Father, when we are at home, or travelling on our way, or when we are vulnerable, or in danger in any way. Most merciful Father, hear us as we pray for the souls in Purgatory, or who may be sent there some day. Amen.
