I’m in the midst of decorating the nursery - exciting :D. I would like to have some Christian decorations in there also. Ideally subtle as my husband is atheist and while he is very supportive of my faith (I have a worded cross in the living room and footprints poem in the bathroom), I like to support his beliefs and not be too “in his face”.

Any ideas on something subtle but Christian related for a nursery?

I don’t know about in the UK, but Noah’s Ark-themed decorations are HUGE for kids around here. There’s lots of them even in secular stores. Little kids do love animals. 👍

I have a framed picture with a bedtime prayer over my oldest’s bed that my MIL gave me:

“Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep,
Guard me Jesus through the night,
And wake me with the morning light. Amen.”

(There are a couple different versions of this prayer, but that one is my favorite.)

I was thinking the same thing when I read the title! A boat and a bunch of animals can represent Noah’s Ark or just a boat and some animals. Seems a fairly neutral thing. Plus, it’s bright and colorful, can be used to tell the Ark story and to help Baby learn to identify animals and colors and it will last a few years or more before it’s time to update it as Baby matures. Also, because of the colors typically used it works with almost any color scheme. I’ve seen it done with decals and with paint which means you won’t have to do anything that might damage walls.
