Some 20 rockets were fired at Israeli military bases by Iranian forces in southern Syria just after midnight on Thursday, with some of the incoming missiles being intercepted by the Iron Dome defense system, the army said, amid sky high tensions on the northern border.

There were no reports of Israeli casualties in the attack. An army spokesperson said damage was caused to Israeli military bases, but that it was “limited.”

This is seriously not good.

This could be the start of WWIII…

Iran could declare all out war on Israel and therefore the UN and the West, and it’s not a far stretch to imagine Syria following suit, then Russia and finally China, thus sparking the third world war.

God help us.

Yes, people wanted those wars. Specifically, the countries that started them felt there was something to gain.

Also, we did not have WOMDs then. It was not a case where half of the world, including global (not local) economic interests, was going to be destroyed beyond all repair if somebody declared war.

Hopefully no one is stupid enough to kick off WWIII because of WOMDs.

It’s really bad strategy for them to antagonize the one power that seriously might bomb their nuclear program out of existence . . . was it the 80s when they did that to Iraq?

[sidenote: going into desert storm, etc., we thought Iraq had another nuclear program? Why? Because Sadam thought he had one, as he’d been paying for it. We had someone in so deep he had Sadam’s own information. What Sadam (and thus the spy) didn’t know was that the entire amount was being embezzled by the scientists! They did have a couple of tubes of nuclear samples–which they kept in the same refrigerator as their lunches 😱]

Maybe this means that Netanyahu was right? Or maybe it’s just that they’re trying to kill Jews again.
 
There’s something bizarre and ironic about God picking a land for his chosen people that ends up getting fought over for centuries. If he’d just parked them in the middle of Kansas, they could have been living in peace for hundreds of years
 
Only a people pushed to the limits of self-reliance would learn to love a God that loves unconditionally.
 
Canaan is the most strategic place on earth. It’s at the true cross roads between Asia, Europe, and Africa, and you also got it on Mediterranean so there’s the addition of great naval power. This is why people have constantly been fighting over it for millennia. It is rather ironic God picked that spot, but he probably picked it because of its significance on the map. He has plans you know. He’s going to show the world his glory. He is the Lord of hosts, and he will come as a great warrior against all the nations who oppose him.

I don’t think China would side with the Russians. They don’t really have a reason too, we’re a much bigger trade partner.
