Sure, there are a few people with ignorant opinions, and even a smaller number that actually vocalize those opinions.

But the vast majority of all people, Catholic, Protestant or other, go out of their way not to express opinions that will make them look stupid.

Most generally speaking, Protestants see Catholic as idol worshipers,sorry we don’t go by personal options or experiences we all have them,best kept that way.

Actually, this comment is just as much based on ignorance as the man in the street’s statement was. No, most Protestants do not see Catholics as idol worshipers. No by a long shot. Most Protestants see Catholics as decent human beings worthy of respect and love, just as most Catholics feel the same way about their Protestant brothers and sisters in Christ, in spite of any religious disagreements.

thanks for your opinion,i wish am wrong,if you read the posts in CAF is enough you’ll know ,there questions and intentions are not genuine, but rather to find fault, bring confusion and deviate the Catholic from there Faith.what about the hundreds of such sites against the Catholics.

Yes, that is unfortunately very common on internet forums like this. They attract a lot of jerks, of all stripes.

But surely you see that many of the Catholics on this forum do the exact same thing. You won’t have to look long to find some Catholic user posting the most horrible thing about people of other religions, especially Muslims.

These Protestants and Catholics are being nasty not because they are Protestants or Catholics, but because they are common everyday jerks.

Jesus already brought that unity. A Protestant, a Muslim, a Hindu or an Atheist is just as much a child of God as a Catholic is. We are all part of God’s one great family, though, like family members sometimes do, we all fall short in treating each other with the love and kindness our bothers and sisters deserve.

Usually it’s not worth arguing with Protestants who’d hurl such an accusation at you in that context of being outside an abortion clinic. Their minds are closed and they just want to yell some angry thing. They are best ignored and prayed for.

Or just ignored. Not the Scripture passage you are looking for colleen, but in such situations I always remember, “and if any place doesn’t receive you, shake the dust from your sandals as you leave. I assure you Sodom and Gomorrah will fare better on judgment day than that place.” Maybe I’m not as charitable as TB and I’ll probably do some time in Purgatory for it, but ignorant people like the man who yelled at you are best paid no mind.

Idol worshippers means something. It means people who worship idols.
Do we even have idols? No. Do we worship idols? No. We worship God.
