Thanks mercygate 🙂 Do you think it would be as effective or even more effective if you just prayed to God directly. Being that you believe that the power is in His hands to heal. Being also, that He is much more merciful that any saint? Thats what we do in Islam…cut out the middle man…go straight to the source 🙂
We pray directly to God all the time. ALL the time. But we are in a family. We call it the Communion of Saints – the whole Church here on earth and in heaven. We join hands with our older brothers and sisters in their Communion of perfect love. Christians pray for one another. Do Moslems? Our Scriptures encourage us to pray for one another and to bear one another’s burdens. It’s just asking those whom we know are among the blessed to join their prayers with ours. I don’t know of any Christian who would pray for the intercession of a saint who would not also pray to God directly.

Muslims have a copy of the Quran which is made out of tree, made by human hands, and starts kissing it and giving it reverence (probably, they bow to it), for them this is not idolatry.
firstly, the fact that it is made out of paper means nothing. what is prohibited is graven images of things. since when is a book a graven image of anything created?

secondly, “probably”??? do you even know what you’re talking about? muslims aren’t allowed to bow to anything except Allah. as for kissing the Quran, those who do it, do so out of ignorance. there is no basis for this action: the ruling on kissing the Quran.

Do you have a photograph of yourself ?
picture making is forbidden in islam and we are only permitted to have photographs where necessary. i.e., passports, IDs, etc.

Have you read my reply above?

I assume that you or any muslims may kiss the Quran, that’s why I said “probably.” Are you offended because I’m just being honest?

Then, if you are a true follower of your religion, don’t permit such things. How can you justify posting pictures using websites? Is it because it is necessary?

Yes in islam they do this, and there is nothing wrong with it.

I find it strange then that Christian history is replete with miracles and healings attributed to the intercession of saints.

Yet in Islam I have yet to see a credible miracle attributed to Allah.

However, we believe in intercessions because of the sunnah of Mary, who asked Jesus for help at the wedding in Cana.

To be honest this kind of argument is a waste of time.

I have all the proof I need when I read about the miraculous helaings I see in Christianity.

Would a muslim please direct me to a source that speaks about miracles in Islam.

I dont want to see the name of Allah written in a tomato, or even a tree bent in ruku
