It seems completely legal. It can be used for illegal and mortally sinful things though, which should be completely avoided. It’s like a weapon. It can be used to kill animals for food or kill humans. I’m not sure what you mean by copy songs onto ipod. If you mean for a computer with songs you have bought or legally downloaded (free songs and what not). That’s fine. If you mean download songs that cost money or haven’t been released. That would be grave matter.
