This honestly a tough one, but I can guarantee there would be more unwanted babies in the world. In a perfect world, people want to become parents and raise their child full of love, but that’s not reality. There are plenty of people that don’t want their children, so they get rid of them. I know that women would still desperately seek out underground abortions if abortion were to get banned, the only difference is that it would make it harder for women to do so, which I guess is the good thing.
However, we also have to take into consideration the children that are going to be born and put into orphanages, because they are unwanted. What should we do as good Christians? In a perfect world, we would all adopt, yes? But lets face it, most of us wouldn’t adopt children, because the majority of us would like to just stick with our own biological children.
I personally want to adopt a child to encourage my pro-life view, but I know not everyone will do the same.
People don’t really look at the big picture when they say they’re pro-life. All they look into is that they’re making sure a baby doesn’t die, but they don’t really concern themselves with the life of that baby after it is born,
And what saddens me is that there is not much said in these abortion forums about these two quotes.
Many seem to pass over the concerns of the poor struggling mother living in the Projects, and resent the Government and the help it gives the poor. Personal charity simply cannot fill the enormous need.Peace, Carlan
