Classical Greece was when? 6th century BC? Adam was when, maybe 6,000 BC? 5,400 years seems long enough for me for folks to fall away.

For one thing, we mustn’t dismiss the efforts of the diabolical from the very start to lead us astray. And I think it important for us to remember that Isreal wasn’t all so very concerned with sharing the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. And I also think it important to note that a human being might very well be described as being born into paganism, having the Law written upon his heart, and a hole in it, but has he any notion of Truth unless given instruction? No, he would wander about with only his reason, and hin innate, yet unfocused knowledge of the spiritual. But he would only wander, lost without direction.

I never said He didn’t. I just wonder if Joe Schmo, who was walking by when God was speaking to Noah, could hear God. Did God speak to Noah internally or externally?

Remember, the only persons on Earth after the flood were Noah and his family. Wether God spoke internally or externally, wouldn’t it be reasonable he would raise his family like that, and tell them about God?

And thousands of years in a time of hand-to-mouth living with almost no ability to form written records is rather enough time for stories to get distorted. Ever play the game of telephone? Imagine hundreds of generations.

I’m not sure why you would draw correlation with Greek Mythology with the Creation Story in Genesis leading from Adam and Eve to Noah and his family.

Adam and Eve disobeyed God eating of the Tree of Knowledge through the Sin of Pride.
The very Sin that got the Great Angel Lucifer (Satan) thrown out of heaven.
From the many generations between Adam & Eve and the offspring of Cain and Abel thousands if not millions of people lived upon the earth until the time of Noah.
God breaths His inner voice in every human being. Some choose to listen and obey His voice; some do not. Are we humans in the world today much different in our ancestors choosing to listen to Gods inner voice in Faith ? Take away all our scientific techno wizardry. Are we really that far advanced than our biblical ancestors even with the knowledge of choosing to accept or not accept the teachings of Jesus Christ our Savior ?
We still have the gift of “Free Will” the same as our ancestors. Like our ancestors who fell astray in sin by choosing to follow false Gods. Look at our own so called sophisticated intelligent selves in society. How many False Gods do you think people of today subscribe and give glory and honor to. Would any one of us really want to search our hearts and souls and ask ourselves if we ourselves are guilty of paying tribute to the many False Gods of today in many disguises ? How many False Gods can you name ?
Hundreds if not Thousands that attach themselves to the weakness of the human flesh and our primitive senses. It is Pride that separates us from our One Holy Triune God with Christ Jesus. We humans today are not so unlike our ancestors who once chose to adore their (“Golden Calves”) "False Gods.

And by speaking as if this is history, you are saying that dinosaurs and humans co existed at one point in time or another in the last 6000 years. Your also totally ignoring other cultures like hindu’s and the chinese dynasties which in my oppinion weren’t exactly led astray and have a bit more wisdom than Christians do long before your time.
It’s also as if none of you have read the bible. Adam and eve had cane and abel, cane bumped off abel and went to the land of Nod to get a wife. Where is this land of Nod? We don’t all descend from adam and eve, atleast not entirely, that would be incest anyways. Which no one seems to question.

I believe the Church does teach that we are all descendants of Adam and Eve. It teaches monogenism not polygenism.

Whether or not creation happened exactly as it is stated in Genesis or if it was through evolution does not matter and it is possible that we will never find out exactly. At some point God created our special race by giving us an immortal soul.
