If all people become religious who is gonna have children?

We are praying all the time for conversion of sinners. And if religious life is being closer to Lord, And if by miracle all decide to become religious who is gonna have children?
Is it ideal for people to become religious or some souls will benefit more for being married and that’s how God ensures we are still multiplying?
 
Maybe the Second Coming will happen if we do this.

But in reality, we are all called to different vocations. Some to marriage, and some to a consecrated life (and maybe some as singles, but in my opinion, it isn’t really a permanent vocation).

This is exactly it. The religious life is a calling, but so is the call to start a family. The Church and religion is under great stress these days and we need good, holy priests AND families.

O Lord, grant us priests!
O Lord, grant us holy priests!
O Lord, grant us many holy priests!
O Lord, grant us many holy religious vocations!
O Lord, grant us many holy families!

St. Pius X - Pray for us!
 
Not many are having children now. Fertility rates are near or below replacement level in many developed nations. Soon there will a demographic crisis. Pray for vocations, but also pray for more babies.

There are several:
  • single layman in the world,
  • married layman in the world,
  • ordained life - married or unmarried deacon or secular priest or religious priest,
  • consecrated life - religious institutes, secular institutes or societies of apostolic life.
 
There are married saints
For instance, the parents of Saint Therese of Lisieux had Several children,
And are themselves both canonized Saints.

It is not necessary to be a priest or religious to be close to God.
Saint Augustine’s Mother is also canonized … and you can do further research to determine that many non-religious persons, married or single, have been canonised throughout the centuries by the Church

I don’t think it was ever intended for everyone to be in the religious state. The religious life and married life can be seen as equal in stature when lived out as true vocations.
 
That is why it is never foing to happen. Only a handdul are called or become priests and religious. Most people are called to marriage. Of course there are those who are single, but i am not here to argue if there is a vocation to the single life or not. Aome say yes, some say don’t.
 
I’m pretty sure that will never happen.
The lure of romance and biology are pretty strong. 🙂
But you can be a faithful Catholic who is married and have kids.
 
Yes, and let’s roll back every welfare reform bill that blames single mothers for all of society’s ills while we’re at it???

Who says every believer has to become a religious to be closer to the Lord? He loves each of us in the way in which we find ourselves upon this earth.
 
You got that right. The desire to procreate is just too strong in most of the people who walk this earth, and God made it that way for a reason.
 
The vocation of marriage will still exist and people will still be called to it. Just because we want more religious life vocations doesn’t mean that takes away from any other vocation.

All vocations are equally beautiful in the eyes of God!
