Catholic tradition of the centuries is terrifying. It’s bad enough that he is driving the Church into the mud with his unrealistic and reactionary conservatism. It would be even worse folly to push his agenda further.

Catholic tradition of the centuries is terrifying. It’s bad enough that he is driving the Church into the mud with his conservatism. It would be even worse folly to push his agenda further. The world could use a more modern and relevant Church. The Church will be more likely to survive the coming decades if it get more realistic, and less reactionary.

The relativism of Church doctrine is disturbing to the rational mind right now. The silly irony is that Benedict practices relativism while he condemns it in others.

What is terrifying about Catholic tradition? Do you have a problem with the the use of the liturgy and devotional practices? The Pope isn’t driving the Church into the mud with his conservatism. The Church is conservative by nature. Catholics should preserve the true doctrines and worthy traditions and practices that have have been passed on to them. The Church should not go along with the modern ways of thinking that are antithetical to truth. It will always survive,because it is sustained by the Spirit of Christ. Church doctrine is not relativistic,it is the fullness of truth.
