If a key part of our human condition is original sin and if Christ was fully human as well as divine how can Christ enter into our FULL humanity unless he also carries with him the sin of Adam. If God removes this sin from Jesus is God in effect reducing his humanity and doesn’t this view of Christ lend weight to the Gnostic heresy ? (ie. that Christ was MORE divine than human) If Christ is not fully human then his understanding of the human condition as lived by you and I must be lessened. I have to believe that the Word became Flesh and lived among us fully human and overcame sin in the same way humanity must, through temptation to do evil and through the victory of goodness.
