If Christianity itself is wrong, where do you go? Check out the polls.
 
If Christianity is wrong, then I would be going backwards. I lived most of my life an Atheist/agnostic before my conversion.

If Christianity was truly wrong, then we would all end up or “go” into the dark world of emptiness.

Hey even Mother Teresa lived a life of emptiness for several decades.

There are devout christians with empty worlds and there are atheists with lively worlds. Theres variety out there. Its all a matter of perspective. Im sorry you had a poor experience outside religion, but dont assume that every atheist/agnostic saw life the way you did. 🙂

Jewish or Unitarian Universalist, probably more Unitarian now that I think about it.
 
It’s kind of like asking If Oxygen did not exist, what would we breathe 😉

If it were wrong, I’d pull me an L. Ron Hubbard and create my own thing. I’d get rich and live it up. Yep. Sure would. There would even be a Forum board where people could discuss and defend my faith. You’d even get to keep your nickname. 😃
 
I would stay a Friend. If Christianity was “wrong” then the Light would still speak to us about “love one another”…“be at peace with all men…”…“feed the poor, visit the sick, cloth the naked…” If Christianity was “wrong” as it exists in most of the “orthodox” “conservative” churches…it would need to be “invented”, of all belief systems I have explored…it alone answers my deepest needs…and the need of humanity…if “Christ” was a “myth”, then he would need to be “invented”.

If its wrong about the existence of God? Atheist

If its wrong about the divinity (but not the prophethood) of Jesus? Islam

If its wrong about the prophethood of Jesus? Sikhism

But praise God that Christianity is the Truth and we have it to the fullest extent possible in this life.

For the poll I answered Judaism but it is a really tough question to answer. I wish there had been more options on the poll. A lot of it depends on the why of it. Why is Christianity wrong? Once that had been discerned, I’d go from there. I might not leave Christianity at all. I might just reinterpret everything until the “disproof” no longer mattered.

For example, if irrefutable proof were provided that God, as defined by Christianity, did not exist, I might become some form of nontheistic liberal Christian. I could never be an atheist, but perhaps some kind of naturalistic pantheism or “God as the ground of all being” or something. I might become a reform Jew or a liberal Episcopalian in that scenario.

Other scenarios, like someone proving to me that Muhammad really was visited by an angel of God, and that the Koran was the word of God, I’d become a Muslim. Stop eating pork, pray five times a day, and eventually visit Mecca. Spend sometime figuring out if the Sunnis are right or the Shiites are right. Oh, and learn Arabic, which I might just do anyways.🙂

I might have to consider Eastern religions, like Buddhism, if science could prove that reincarnation is real. Spend some time in a monastery, might even just stay. Learn how to meditate better, cite religious grounds when asked why I am a vegetarian, etc. I might even try to find out who I was in some of my past lives. I’d probably lobby the Congress to make me the sole inheritor of my former estates.👍

And so on and so on. Actually, this is a pretty fun little question. Not that I think Christianity will be proven wrong. I believe with all of my being that it is the complete truth.

If the “why” is unknown, then the rest of the choices are meaningless.

Anyway, the poll doesn’t reflect either of the three most probable choices I’d make. ( 道家/易經, קָרָאִים,Gnosticism)

I have lots of kids, I am not taking them to something where culturally they will not understand a word around them.
They could learn Hebrew I suppose, they have a school for it but what language to understand a thing that goes on in the Buddhist temples or Sikh temples.
Those that say they would be atheist must not have kids…
seriously. I am not sure what a Unitarian childrens choir would sing about …recycling I guess but it beats not believing in anything in my opinion

I would remain monotheistic and probably follow the teaching of Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, to one degree or another, as Plato and Aristoltle disagreed about metaphysics. But as they both believed in One God and subscribed to the same theories of ethics and happiness, I would follow them both. To me this is the most rational choice.

If Christianity was wrong or never existed, then our world would be completely different, so the question is implausible/unimaginable. The Catholic Church gave us western civilization, if it weren’t for Christianity and Christian Institutions we would still be living under serfdom.
