You will be committing a sin if you knowingly convert from Catholicism, believing it to be true, to Judaism.

If you are not Jewish ethnically there is no reason to be Jewish unless you think it is true. However, Catholicism is clearly the fulfillment of Judaism. Modern Judaism rejects Christ as opposed to waiting for Him (though from their point of view they are still just waiting).

Yes. The sin of apostasy.

Will Jewish be saved by God?

We can’t really say. We know what God has told us about Salvation and it is through Christ. What he does outside of that, we do not know.

But, what we can say is that a Catholic, who has the fullness of truth, leaving the Catholic faith for the Jewish faith is grave matter and apostasy. It is very serious.

Please seek counsel from your pastor.

Converting to Judaism (or any other non-Catholic religion) is a mortal sin. If you do this and do not repent you will condemn your soul to Hell.

“15. Consequently, the situation of those, who by the heavenly gift of faith have embraced the Catholic truth, is by no means the same as that of those who, led by human opinions, follow a false religion; for those who have accepted the faith under the guidance of the Church can never have any just cause for changing this faith or for calling it into question.” - Chapter 3, On faith, Dogmatic constitution on the Catholic faith, Vatican I
 
I think you should carefully read the Epistles of Apostle Paul to the Romans, to the Galatians, to the Hebrews.
 
We cannot ultimately know who will be saved and who will not. Only God knows the heart. However, Orthodox Jews in general reject Christ, the cornerstone of our faith, so that puts them in a very difficult position, in my opinion.
 
This situation is most likely due to wanting to marry a Jew, who insist on conversion before marriage. I wonder if you can reconcile your beliefs while converting? Do you deny Jesus Christ as the Messiah? The Savior? The Son of God? That will be something you have to decide. Even in the Jewish religion it is supposedly a sin to convert merely in order to marry a Jew. So again you are faced with a dilemma. Can you insist on not converting? Is that an option for you?

Jesus came for the Jews. But they rejected him. Only if they come to the truth and realize that He is the Messiah they’ve long waited for will they be saved.

But remember, Catholics see salvation as a process. I have been saved. I am being saved. And I will be saved.
 
From the perspective of the Church, it is a sin. From the perspective of Judaism, it is (of course) not a sin. You have to make choices in life. I would suggest, however, that you speak to a priest or counselor about your thoughts of converting and your reasons if you have not already spoken to one. They may help you better understand what is at stake. And in the process of conversion to Judaism, any rabbi worth their salt will caution you that conversion to Judaism is a serious matter and should not be done frivolously (I am not suggesting you are doing so).

With regard to salvation, Judaism does not believe in the Christian concept. We do not believe we have “anything to be saved from.” We are not doomed in the first place, whether Jew or gentile. If you are serious about Judaism, you must do your homework and read as much as you can about the religion and its history. At the same time, make that appointment with a trusted priest and/or spiritual advisor to discuss your thoughts and feelings.

This is blatantly not true without specific qualification, because it does not address the factors that determine mortal sin…this quick judgment does more to dissuade people from the truth of the Catholic faith than to turn them toward it.
 
Not even the chance of Purgatory? This sounds a little adamant to me.

Apostasy is a very grave sin. Even Judaism would agree with that, no?

Purgatory is for venial sins or forgiven sins (of any kind).
 
If you are converting to Judaism from Catholicism, you shouldn’t care if it’s a sin. It means you don’t believe what the Catholic Church teaches, so it’s irrelevant to you.

If you are concerned about that, you probably aren’t ready to convert away from the Church.
