I received absolution from my priest after I confessed to having an abortion many years ago. I still feel like I haven’t really been forgiven even though I confessed to my priest.

If I still feel guilty, have I been forgiven?
 
Hi,

Your sin has been forgiven. Feelings have little to do with the state of one’s soul. Many people who have not repented from that same sin, at least on the surface, are so numb to sin that they don’t feel bad at all.

Rejoice that you are not one on them.
