He would actually use a rare swahili dialect. It wasn’t widely known that he spent much of his down time dabbling in sub-saharan north african languages.
I keep waiting for this to show up as a “plot” on the TV show NUMB3RS.This thought is beautiful and hilarious at the same time. Priceless.![]()
. . . . . I’m sure there would be a number of people there, pen in hand, watching for “liturgical abuses” so they could report them here.
Well, He did say ‘Go and sine no more’ and ‘Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division’.Swedish. At least, that’s what I was taught growing up.
My personal theory is that “math” is the language of heaven, as math seems to be the unifying “language” of the universe.
I don’t know…something tells me He might speak a rare, archaised variant of proto-Quenya.He would actually use a rare swahili dialect. It wasn’t widely known that he spent much of his down time dabbling in sub-saharan north african languages.

And last but not least,
There’s also the comment in the Acts, that “many were added to their numbers.”
They speak Newfoundland English in Paradise.I don’t know. What language do they speak in Heaven?
Is he straight with you otherwise?(my husband has B.S.s in Math and Computer Science.)
Being from Nova Scotia, I thoroughly enjoyed that mental foray - imaginging mass spoken in that quirky and beautiful dialect bring a huge smile to my face!!They speak Newfoundland English in Paradise.

I voted Latin, but it would really depend.
Jesus likely spoke Aramaic, Greek, and Latin.
He would have spoke Aramaic only to people from Galilee, so not Aramaic.
On second thought, I probably should have voted English. But I voted Latin just because I like the idea of Jesus coming around and saying “Why did you people change the tradition?”
Actually, maybe Greek. I don’t know. He would have spoke Greek when talking to people like Pontius Pilate and other Romans. And a little Latin too though.
This question is too complicated for me.
:yup:But actually, surely the question is: which Mass will he celebrate? http://forum.ship-of-fools.com/UBB-non-cgi/graemlins/scot_twoface.gif
He would speak in such a way and in such a language we could all understand and accept His form of the Mass.…what language would He celebrate it in? I will not be posting, just reading reactions. I’m not sure what the answer is on this one anyway.

Having seen the abuse and insults :banghead: handed out on the Should every Parish have a TLM Forum, I LOVE your sense of humor.. . . . . I’m sure there would be a number of people there, pen in hand, watching for “liturgical abuses” so they could report them here.
No doubt about which Mass he will be celebrating but what Eucharistic Prayer will he use from that missal? But actually, surely the question is: which Mass will he celebrate? http://forum.ship-of-fools.com/UBB-non-cgi/graemlins/scot_twoface.gif
