Uh, not to be a killjoy here but when Christ comes again, wouldn’t that be in the Second Coming? That would be the final judgment, would it not? If there’s a Mass celebrated (and I’ve never really heard that in regards to the final judgment) I highly doubt the language or the Mass would be a question. I’d be way more worried about the final judgment.

There’s also the comment in the Acts, that “many were added to their numbers.”

You can use the extra time while he’s celebrating Mass to say an extra rosary Or two. Or three.

His Vicar is coming to the US. And I am sure he is going to celebrate public Masses in accordance with what this country allows - which is the vernacular language.

If Jesus Himself came to the US He would do the same and I am sure He would be most certain to celebrate Mass In the EF also - in Latin. If he came back in the 1950’s He would definitely use Latin because Latin only was allowed back then.

Speaking of coats, I sincerely hope that when Jesus offers Mass, He somehow manages to materialize a COAT RACK in the Church. I would hope that the church would be packed to see Jesus, and I really don’t want to sit there with my coat on my lap (like I had to do at Easter Mass a few weeks ago).

OTOH, I’ve heard from certain people on this Forum that coat racks are for Protestants. Oh, well. Hopefully when Jesus is there, the Church will be at a perfect temperature for everyone.

Well, I see a few problems…

No Confetior: “I confess…that I have sinned…well, uh, not Me, but, um…well, just carry on yourselves…”

Leave out middle invocation of the Kyrie. Only do first part of Gloria. As a matter of fact, I see Him starting a lot of prayers, then trailing off and making “G’head, g’head” motions with His hands.

Gospel readings from NAB: “Waitaminnit…I’m pretty sure that’s not exactly what I said…Where’s my Vulgate?”

Canon: Change to first person: “I took the bread…”

I can see Him chucking the “Gather” or “Glory and Praise” hymnals, and leading everybody in a song He knows in Aramaic, which ticks off all the V-II Catholics (except for old Mrs Noah, the Chaldean lady, who’s singing her heart out).

I can hear some grumbling from the Traditionals, too, because He didn’t genuflect to the Tabernacle.

Can you imagine going up to Communion when you aren’t entitled due to not being in a state of Grace? (Raised eyebrow, “I don’t think so, Tim.”)

Can you imagine Him hearing your Confession? “Missing Mass” and a few “impure thoughts” probably wont cut it with the Man Who knows you better than you know yourself.

Not exactly…the Mass is offered to God, not to Man.

He most certainly would follow what His Church has dictated - showing example for all His priests - just like He did when He showed by example how we are to be saved- by getting baptized Himself.
