A conversation about valid sacraments is one thing. But to accuse fellow Christians of only having 1/2 of Jesus Christ is downright uncharitable.and the Eastern Orthodox Church since the Catholic Church recognized their sacraments to be valid.

Nobody ever said anything about getting 1/2 of Jesus (The Entity),
just that we get the complete Jesus body and soul (we get The Spirit and The Body!).

I was thinking about this and I don’t think Jesus would like an auditorium as worship space unless it was all that is available or the only way to get a large crowd assembled. I think He would like it for the use of preaching and teaching.Do you think Jesus would like the auditoriums and the preaching jumping all over the chairs?
I don’t know about the jumping. If it was a true outpuring of love for God then He would probably like it. If it was just emotional hype then I don’t think it would be as liked by Him.

I think He would be pleased that His Mother and Foster Dad always have a beautiful bouquet of flowers near them to show our honor, love and respect.

Unfortunately some Catholic Churches are like this too. I have been where both inside and outside it is very hard to tell that you are in a church. Well, I don’t think he’d like it at all. Jesus’s church is Holy, just as He is. I think we can get a better idea of this by seeing what happened when Jesus came to the Temple in Jerusalem. In Luke 2 Joseph and Mary lost Jesus and when they finally found him, Jesus asked them, don’t you understand that I must be in my Father’s house? In fact the Temple was the great center of Jesus’s activity, since it was the great holy place established by God’s will. Jesus would love to be in our churches (or in a great many of them at least). And as some people here rightly point out, it is the center of his activity now too, since he comes in the eucharist, and comes there in his own person, where he comes, and loves to meet souls.
But if Jesus came as he did then during his lifetime, not for example as he will at the end of the world, many would be surprised and dismayed to hear him tell them without equivocation of their compromises and sins, something those in the Temple heard too, notably in John 7 and 8. In this way too he came not as a man comes, but as God comes. I’m afraid that because of this, many people would be turned off if Jesus came to their church. And I wonder. Didn’t he wear what would seem the dress of a peasant, and was he groomed? Would he look like the sort of person we customarily ignore? We can look too much at the wrong things in people, and then do not recognize them for what they actually may be.
Is this though too a question about what sort of worship Christ would like? I think some of us will be surprised in heaven to learnm how well Jesus loves sorts of worship that we are unaccustomed too.

Well, receiving communion and going to Mass at the Vatican was the most unbelievable experience of my Catholic faith. Just being in the Vatican with hundreds of bishops from all over, all dressed in red and the Mass was so holy.
It was so packed with the faithful, I love how several priests give out the Body of Christ to the people.
Looking around, I can’t see how anyone would not want to be Catholic. It was just so beautiful…and the singing? To die for.

Though I’m Catholic, I’m going to answer this question based on my experiences in a non-denominational Christian church…
Jesus would like seeing all those who gather together because of their belief in Him. He would’ve actually enjoyed the upbeat music (I am reminded of what it would’ve been like for him at the Wedding at Cana and the joy the people expressed as he arrived in Jerusalem on Palm Sunday) and could see in people’s hearts their love for Him. They’re trying to follow Him to the best of their understanding and ability.
Jesus would be sad to hear some of the sermons that centered on wealth and happiness. He would also be sad to see those who come and proclaim him, yet judge others negatively. But then again, you get that in every body of believers!

Not only was that a priviledge, being underground, under the Vatican and kneeling at the tombs of St. Peter and John Paul was surreal for me. All the popes are buried there and it is very eerie and beautiful at the same time. Still feel like I was dreaming…I bet that was a great experience. Going to Mass at the Vatican would be such a priviledge.

Hi blossom, I love your question, it gives me a chance to recognize what I saw when I first walked in the front door of our church.
It was through my first experience at my church which caused me to feel like I was in the presence of Jesus and Almighty God.
I had first hand experience. I was invited by a total stranger I met at a book store to a worship service.
“hi, how are you today”?,
or
“we are glad to see you”
or
“May God bless you in service”
to the uhers in the sanctuary and eventually to our members who are already sitting in the pews.
A visitor will feel the presence of Jesus even before the service starts.
(evidence is in the comment cars pastor will read from first time visitors who have stated that they felt the love of Jesus at our church)
3) at the start of our service we have about a 15-20 minute praise and worship and prayer time honoring Jesus for Who He is in our lives and praying for anyones need of prayer and for gOd’s blessing as the word of GOd is preached.
who believes that salvation can only be found, by faith, in Jesus Christ.
That no church, prayer, person or book can save a soul.
Even just believing Jesus does not save anyone.
However, he believes that it is believing in Jesus Christ which is evidence of the faithful.
who believes the only way to be saved is first by faith in Jesus Christ and then acting according to God’s word as evidence of one’s faith.
who will not stop until the last lost soul is reached for the love and grace of God and the forgiving and saving power which is offered only by the blood of Jesus Christ.
who realizes that at any given service on Sunday there might be a first time visitor in attendance who just might be hearing about Jesus for the first time.
who extends an invitation at the conclusion of service for any such visitor or anyone for that matter to make a “faith” decision and accept Jesus Christ into thier heart. by faith, as thier personal Lord and Saviour.

sharing my faith, small groups, Mops , levite club, youth ministry
What would Jesus dislike about your church?
Not anything I can think of.
However, I believe Jesus would be a little saddened by as to why our church did not have more people in it due to the fact that we illustrate His love so wonderfully.
And there are a lot of people in our neighboorhood who need to experience His love.

We will go out to the highways and biways and not be embarrassed to invite anyone to one of our worship services

No it isn’t. The Church itself contains the fullness of faith. The original Church had seven sacraments which Jesus Christ established. I hardly think this is uncharitable. This is the truth. You won’t find any Evangelical Protestant type Christians in the first century. The Early Christian worship was a Paschal sacrifice of the Lamb of God. I think the Eastern Orthodox Church 90% truth because they do not acknowledge the primacy of the Pope. If they did, they would be 100% fullness of faith. I did recall Jesus only give the keys of the kingdom to Peter and not the other Apostles.
