If Jesus is in Heaven...

Muslims believe that Jesus is now in heaven after living an earthly life, and I could say both “body and soul” (or correct me if I’m wrong). They further believe that he will come again to judge the world. But I’ve read some of the muslims here saying that Jesus will come to back to earth and live an earthly life and die (again?) just like any human beings. Now, for what purpose would he come back to earth and (judge?) and die again?

Now here is the point I wanted to make: If one who is already beholding the majesty of God will come down to earth, how could he live and die again as we human beings at the present? Again, this belief is a twisted view that Muhammad had been believing and perpetuated into our time. I don’t blame Muhammad for what he believed because he might have heard it from heretic Christians.

Authentic and faithful Christians believe that Jesus already died in the flesh but rose again with an incorruptible body. Since He is the Son of God, once He died (in his human nature) his earthly body didn’t corrupt, but rose again on the third day. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. But when He comes again, His glorified Body is no longer capable of dying or suffering. He already triumphed over death 2000 years ago. At his coming, all will rise from the dead. This will be the resurrection, and all will be judged by Christ.

Hey Pio,

I know you are genuinely curious, but why are you calling what Islam says non-sensical and stupid after asking about it, and before giving anyone a chance to respond? It makes it look like you’re just trying to score cheap points with a rhetorical question that you’re using merely to criticize, and to honestly inquire with.

Muslims believe that Jesus (PBUH) was never crucified, and never died the first time around, when he was on the earth during the first century. It’s quite simple really. Jesus (PBUH) was being pursued by his enemies among the Jews. So he prayed to God to be saved from his enemies (this part of the story is still authentically preserved in the Bible, in Matthew 26:39), so that he could continue in his mission and message. God heard the prayer of his messenger, and acceded to it (as He always does), and bodily assumed Jesus (PBUH), while he was still alive, into Heaven to await the End Times, when God will send him back to earth as a grown man to finish the mission that he started, the mission of the Messiah, to be not just the one who calls Israel back to righteousness from its waywardness, but to defeat the Anti-Christ and the forces of evil, ushering in a period of world peace, which he will preside over.

Jesus (PBUH) is not a judge over anything. When he returns to earth, he does so as a political and religious leader in the turbulent End Times. Jesus (PBUH) lives on the earth for another forty years, and will marry and have children. Presumably, if he was assumed into Heaven the first time around when he was about age 33, add to that another 40 years, and Jesus (PBUH) will die an old man at the age of 73 or so. Remember that Jesus (PBUH) does not bend the rule about all humans tasting death only once before the Resurrection, because he didn’t die the first time. So his death upon his return will be his only death.

After Jesus’ death, other major terrible events will happen in quick succession before Judgement Day is called, and the dead all resurrected to be judged by God, Jesus (PBUH) among them.

Don’t boast with your Arabic–it’s non-sense to those who can’t read them. God can also communicate to his creatures in English, Spanish, Tagalog, etc. He doesn’t have an offical language. He speaks in all languages.

This is utterly an misunderstanding of the power of God. Where do you think those people who died goes ultimately? Are they not suppose to be in heaven both body and soul (after the resurrection) and will not ever die once they are there? Once a person beholds the majesty of God both body and soul, he already has attained the full beatific vision of God. No one can take him out from that presence of God.

Why are you saying that the one who is already in heaven-- both body and soul-- will again come back to earth and live an earthly life and die and goes into heaven (again) to live? If you scrutinize it very carefully, this is utterly non-sense (right just the way you put it).

And my other question is–if Muhammad is the great prophet of God (even greater than the prophet Jesus???), then why would’nt God send him back to earth? Why not Muhammad who is depicted as the “last prophet”?

there’s no boasting in my post. it was a simple message for shenango. it wasn’t intended for anyone else, thus if it is non-sense to those who can’t read it, that’s fine by me.

as for the official language business, irrelevant. no one said anything about Allah having an “official language” in this thread, thus there was no need to utter such a comment. ano gomez, natakot at naligalig ka ba sa mensahe ko kay shenango? :ehh:
