If Jesus is on the right hand of the Father. Is there anyone on the left?

I hope this isn’t a dumb question but is there an actual teaching about this?

Also what is the significance of him being on the right hand of the Father and not on the left?

I think it’s more of a metaphor than anything else.

Incidentally, left handedness was seen as evil for much of Western civilization. The word sinister comes from the Latin root word to indicate ‘left hand’. So it’s probably more like the “right hand” is an idiom that means “the just/good/decent place” any more than it’s a theological concept. Just my take on it though, without having a deep background in theology.

On His strong left arm He bears our sins, and with His right He brings His salvation.
 
Jesus is God’s proverbial “right-hand man”.

I too have often idly wondered who sits at God’s left since the Holy Spirit is usually flying overhead.

CHAPTER II. Concerning the sitting at the right hand of the Father.

We hold, moreover, that Christ sits in the body at the right hand of God the Father, but we do not hold that the right hand of the Father is actual place. For how could He that is uncircumscribed have a right hand limited by place? Right hands and left hands belong to what is circumscribed. But we understand the right hand of the Father to be the glory and honour of the Godhead in which the Son of God, who existed as God before the ages, and is of like essence to the Father, and in the end became flesh, has a seat in the body, His flesh sharing in the glory. For He along with His flesh is adored with one adoration by all creation.

I realized all along that it is figurative language, but still fun to think of Jesus literally sitting at his Father’s right hand, like in big fancy chairs.
